Yup... Built most of the Gold Coast. This bike was in his collection on Hamilton Island for about a decade, until he put it on his yacht to bring up here when he started the Port Hinchinbrook development. He'd use it to get around the site and nip into Cardwell for groceries. After the development was finished it was shoved in a shed and forgotten about for another 8 years until he died in 2011, until someone took inventory of all the stuff lying around. It was then sold for a pittance to one of the Port Hinchinbrook staff, who used it occasionally but not often enough to bother keeping it. Which is where I swoop in with a small handful of cash :)

It's awesome. It also used to be in a museum... Was owned by Keith Williams. Gifted to him by the CEO of Honda Japan.

So I bought a thing. 1986 Honda Helix. Japanese import from new, 6666k's (genuine) with a rather interesing history... Pics fail to convey just how HUGE this thing is. It ain't no nifty fifty, and it ain't slow.
