Irokin, if you just want to dry, day licenses are what? 20-30 bucks or something, which are valid for the day, and if you like it, you can upgrade to a full one by paying the difference.

Somewhat off topic, but speaking of insurance, are volunteers for the events actually covered? (In general)? I'm just trying not think of the day when a car tries to introduce itself to _me_ at speed while taking pictures. I mean, I wouldn't do something totally stupid like stand on the outside of a fast corner, but I at Benarkin, I did see some ripped bunting in somewhat straight stretches, not to mention flying debris. I was going to apply for CAMS photographer accreditation, but one of the requirements are that you have to be published, which I am not. Oh well, maybe by next year.

I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision. I've suspected for some time now that my girlfriend has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them". I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. As if she has got out of the car round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi? I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went beserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my g/f. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her. I decided I was going to hide behind my car which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch. Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff from the local auto shop and try to repair it myself? :thumbsup: Posted on some other forum, just had to share.

Ah, now I don't have to clone the poles out, I can do other stuff: Not bad for a five minute job... I'd do more, but I should be getting to work.

That wedding car would be a hella lot better if it A) Didn't have a pole growing out of it. B) Did you zoom in for the shot? The car would look a lot more 'phat' if you went wide angle, and gotten close. C) There's a pole leaning in on the right. D) The left side wasn't blown out... try shooting later in the day, around when or just after the sun sinks under the horizon, using tripod (no flash) if you have to. E) Didn't have the house in the background. Or, try bigger aperture (smaller f/ number) so that you get the background blurred. F) What's that casting a shadow over the front of the car? G) Use a polarising filter to reduce glare off the windows. Sorry if I come across as a bit harsh... I've not shot cars for too long, and I'm missing it.

Yeah, we did OK for the first stage, and we were doing ok for the second stage, but one of the questions had moved, so we were unsure of whether or not we were on the right track, so we decided to play safe and cut our losses.

Very well... scratch that idea, then. What about locations?

Location? Somewhere tarmac and open, industrial, even. Actually, some photographers/models I know wouldn't mind getting some car shots done. Any volunteers?

I was shooting some hoops today, and I hear this brabrabrabrabrabrabrabra at the lights, and I'm "WTF??" And true enough, it was a Red RX7... for the amount of noise they make, you'd think that they'd be reaching takeoff velocity or something...

Unfortunately, I'm commited to another shoot, so I won't be attending. Which is such a shame, because I, too have new toy I want to try out.
