  1. Glad you had a good time. I got home from work around 6, and I've been pulling overtime for three days, so was really not in a mood for activity. Those mudmap errors seem to be quite a frequent occurance of these things.
  2. Oh, I might have to back out of this one. I have a feeling that I'll be pulling overtime at work for the next 2 days.
  3. See... I enjoy the process of attepting to fish. Whether or not anything is caught is largely irrelevant to me... just sitting in a boat in the middle of the ocean around sunset does it for me.
  4. Thank you. Will post the lot once I make another pass through them and cull some of the less exciting ones.
  5. 1000 more words I wanted to get a pic of both cars together, but someone had already trailer'ed his car then. Rob, once you get the new paint job, we have to organise a shoot with both cars.
  6. 1000 words:
  7. Let's see what do I do..... Photography is my main interest... no particular form, but I think what I do best is documentary-style photojournalism, people at places, that kind of thing. I would love to travel the world, taking pictures, as long as it doesn't involve camping out  I enjoy cooking, baking in particular, how often I do it depends on how clean our flatmates keep the kitchen. It has been regressing for a while, but has started to look better over the last few days. It's like a bloody stock market out there. I like the occaisional fragfest... currently playing UT 2004. I used to like gardening, and I still do, but now that I'm working full time, it's a bit too time consuming. Maybe after summer I'll take another stab at it. I've been trying to avoid programming/similar activities at home, because that's what I do at work. I might have to jump back into it for a bit, because I want to launch a site soon to showcase (and maybe sell) some photos. I like watching Anime, and Japanese and Chinatown action flicks. Currenly watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I was learning to draw at one stage, but have been lacking a muse of late. Sportswise, I used to cycle a fair bit, but not much lately because of a knee injury suffered at a Shorinji Kempo training session. (I wasn't paying attention, and was thrown). Sometimes after work, I'll go shoot some hoops, yo. Oh, and I have a PADI Open Water license that hasn't been used for a few years. Anyone wanna go scuba diving?
  8. Ah the bastards! All the websites say it's only showing at Sydney... have to wait and see, I guess.
  9. Count me in. I'll save the rest of you lot the embarrasment of coming in last. What's the best way to get you the money?
  10. As part of the 8th Japan Film Festival, there is supposed to be a Screening of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence at South Bank 5 Cineplex. Who's interested in going? For those who have never heard of GitS, here's a website: http://www.gofishpictures.com/GITS2/main.html
  11. Thanks guys... I do my best
  12. With the sky threatening to fall on our heads, and the creek nearby threatening to spill, it was a day of fast film and fast cars. The clouds actually worked well in my favour, with exposures being consistent, and shadows being nice and soft. I had fun trying to stay dry, and keeping my gear dry. Panning while carrying an umbrella is no fun at all, but I was in no mood to take a soaking, or to see exactly how weather tight my camera was, Here's a few to set the scene. Two Holden Sporting Car Club members walking around before the event got under way. The Holden Stormriders live up to their name, performing this stunt in the wet. The first three competitors. More are being uploaded to http://haikal.freeshell.org/photos/2004/QMC2/ as we speak.
  13. Downloading mine now.... Damn this usb is slow :/
  14. If Fook's up for it, I'm keen as always.
  15. Generally about 10-15 cars? And remember that passengers are allowed in these events.
  16. Okay, I change my vote to the 3rd one. *edit* Lovin' the zip tie whiskers.
  17. I like both photos, the first one rocks because of the fist in the air, but it could do with a bit of post.
  18. ? Oh wait...
  19. OOoh, and let's not forget this one. Probably not the most artistic photo, but shows a certain spirit :jason:
  20. Here's also one of fook, from QMS4. I could probably PS it to get more detail in the interior of the car, if I composite it with another pushed raw file.
  21. Really? My first guess was "utter shite" :blinks:
  22. Anyone from here going? Good possibility I will be shooting.
  23. Here's another one, an action shot from QMS4. Rob, that Qld Challenge one isn't one of mine.
  24. I nominate this classy number of the 'dwarf. No one's done any black and whites yet, so here: Higher-res one can be made available for print.
  25. Fook's team was first in class yesterday, and he's having a ball. I think they're still first in class as of today, I can't remember... I was slightly distracted by a game of Unreal Tourney that was on at the time.
