  1. There's a knob you have to set in the config file... In LocalSettings.php, add the line: $wgWhitelistEdit = true; This will force users to create an account to make changes.
  2. Done playing for now, will do more. I've started writing help articles, if there's anything else in there that you would like addressed, plonk in a headings, maybe along with a note, and I'll fill them in over the course of the week. http://www.rollaclub.com/wiki/index.php?title=Help:Contents
  3. I'll write one up now...

  9. They did a similar study on the speeding ads, and apparently, they worked on women, because it made them afraid, but blokes just thought "it would only happen to someone else"
  10. Hi, every body. The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety QLD are doing a survey on the effectiveness of violent ads regarding road safety. http://www.qut.edu.au/hlth/carrsq/roadsafe.../roadsafety.php Please go there and let them know how you feel on the subject. Related link: CarrsQ: http://www.carrsq.qut.edu.au/ Edit: Warning: Survey is a bit long...
  11. I hope I get me drivers license in time for this... should be able to. My instructor reckons I'm almost ready for a mock test. Might even be today.
  12. So I went to a seminar today during which I was abe to identify not drawing as one of the reasons for a slight drop in the Haikal Happiness Index. So here it is: I'd have inked and cleaned it up, but I can't find my pens or ink. ooh, and imagine there are a speedlines emanating from it as well,
  13. See, kangaroosa drives a 3 tonner for work, and I'm sure (correct me if I'm wriong) that he doesn't need to drive in areas with high concentrations of children, which is what the whole issue is about: People who have no real need or even appreciation of the fact that they are driving a tank in the manner that they would drive a normal sedan. As for the extended driver training thing, yes, I whole heartedly agree that the whole licensing thing is rather half arsed... there is no consideration at all to teach someone to behave in extreme driving conditions... the speeding fines threads we've had here sum that sentiment up nicely. And to sidetrack a bit, I do find the current spate of speeding ads (the one with the mum and the baby) an insult to my intelligence... (apologies to overseas readers... I can't find a copy online anywhere)
  14. What are your experiences with Go Kart Tracks in QLD? So far, Ipswich Karts is the one that we always go to. That kart track up north (near Australia Zoo) was shit... Fook (I think it was) was almost taken out by someone who did a tricycle conversion whilst moving. What are some of the other tracks you've been to, and what were they like?
  15. Holy crap! I had two or three books in those series when I was... well... a kid.
