  7. couldnt agree more red. I don't EVER fake my book. but some people i know, its a wonder they ever got their liscence. They are SOOOOOOOOOO nervous behind the whell, thats its not good for them
  8. i havent read all the reply's so it may have been said already. I went to RTA when i got my l's (only about 2-3 months ago) and asked the lady if these romurs were true, because i was also worried about them. She said it was all just stories, that had been blown out of proportion, and that no of these rules were even being considered to be introduced. The only rule that has chnged for L and P platers, is the performance one. THATS IT. For any new romours you may hear, give it atleast 6 months, and then MAYBE start to think about it. Because it will never happen.
  9. thye look like they would way f@$kloads

  15. yeah i WOULD have gone 4A, but like i said, i am really only doing it for the experience, the end product is just a bonus :D and with the cortina mounts, isnt that a point of debate??? someone was saying on here i think, that it is not true.?? But still, the work to the tank, lines, g/box, diff etc would be a pain in the arse, worht it, but a pain. Does anyone selling a KE55 or a K50 box???

  18. ^^^ wow, thats great mate, thanks for that, only prob is i can get a motor for $350, bigport with ECU and anything else i need. but can't assure quality. I thought about it long and hard, and i have decided to buy the car, rip out the 4K, strip it completely down, and rebuild the entire motor, attach a K50 box, and bobs your uncle. I was really only doing it for the hands on experience, and i thouhgt a corolla and 4A as i know HEAPS about them. But rebuilding the 4K will be good, as it will give me experience in other motors, not just one i already know :D Cheers for the guidance guys, and i will keep you posted on how it goes. Oh and where the 4K a more common motor, or are the chances of finding a KE55 with one slim??
  19. well how much would you predict, for a 4AGE conversin, minus the purchase of the motor, g/box, and donor car?? I WILL BE DOING IT MY SELF.
  20. i have been "critiqued" on another forum, that a budget of 1.5K wont even buy the engine and g/box. i say cods wallop :D wats do you rekon? a good budget?? i do all the work myself
  21. I'm really thinking of getting the car, then pulling out the 4K/3K, out in a bigport 4AGE, with T50, and weld the diff, then rebuild the 3/4K and well it, or buy anouther rolla and put it in, or something. And then down the line when i get some moolah, i can go GTE, with a TD04 turbo, and GZE bottom end :D
  22. i heard that you can just flip the leaf to lower them??
  23. mate, check out twincam.org, and toymods.net, and you will find HEAPS and i mean every tom dick and f@$king harry, have done a conversion into a FWD corolla, hundreds and hundreds of 20V's, even more GZE's and shit loads of 4AGE's you name it, its been done in one. A quik google search will come up with hundreds of pages of results that will give you step by step guides as to how you do it, every thing from what pistons to use, right down to where you might find a bolt in your shed to bolt something down.
  24. so 4A all the way you say??. I just thought that since i have never driven a 4K, but i have a 4A, so i couldnt personaly compare :D Cheers Nathan
