I absolutely hate that crossing too. Massive suspension fail! I was in the grey S15 as Josh said, and was 1st at the lights in the opposite direction. Pretty sure you caught me staring at the van :)

Thanks Johno, i'm sure we'll have a chat on the gor :) I have an update. I have sent off the two heads that came with the car to the head shop. One is confirmed as unsalvageable but the other is able to be done up :D Got my oil cooler back from the radiator joint and is now sporting a new core and end connections as they were bent and leaking. Rings, bearings and gaskets have also been ordered and should arrive next week. So all in all a very expensive week but at least by next week i'll be able to start putting it back together slowly. Matt.

Ok so here's some bad news. After much deliberation I'm not bringing the rolla (or any rolla) on the cruise. It has almost killed me to say this :( Reason being is that one of my axles has not been splined true and I get driveline vibes at anything over 80km/h. Plus the motor is sounding fairly clapped too. So I will be attending dare I say it, in a (clean) dirty filthy Datsun. Kangaroosa I shall see you at the Todd road service station as per last year.

Ace karts is even steeper. I think 20 mins is ample and wouldn't want anymore than 25-30mins that's for sure.

I can vouch for South Morang but I suggest karting novices to look elsewhere! There is also a massive difference in performance of some of the karts there. By the way at Silhouette in Somerton it was $60 for a 10mins Quali session and a 10min race session. Winner got a trophy and if you book you get the track just for your group. They are the fastest hire karts i've sampled thus far (2 stroke). Phillip island karts are a good option if we had a cruise but they are painfully slow.
