Tccav Cars Coffee And Donuts 17Th July 2011
78_7kRolla replied to viccelicara28's topic in VIC / Melbourne
I'm a late scratch. Have a 21st birthday on Saturday night, I think enough said. -
Thanks Luke, I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities for you to come for a joy ride. Thanks Onikage, I'm planning to repair it properly soon. The car is on club rego meaning I have to fill out a log book and can only use up to 90 days per year. Hence why it is only semi stripped out and has remained in a roadworthy state (except for the loud exhaust). The wheels are a very old ROH design and originally come with ugle screw in center caps. I bought them second hand so I can't tell you much more about them.

Good work mang. i have to come down and see this... even if it is just to come down and pick up my hat :P

Lol thanks for putting up pics :) Apart from that the first event the car was excellent and I had it fixed 24 hours later. This Saturday I'll be cutting some laps at Sandown. Anyone who's interested is more than welcome to come down for a look. More updates to follow. Matt.

Haha yes, but I'm not trying to beat you. on the car's (and mine) maiden event, merely trying to bring it home! We have an update... Fitted the extractors and fire extinguisher this week. (not trying to beat the tomato my ass!) matt.

Ok, so I haven't updated this thread for while but there has been plenty of progress lately. Fixed back race seat is in but I still need to make adjustments to it regarding height and theWhiteline adjustable blade rear swaybar is now in and is SOOO good :) Recently I fixed the bits of rust that were in the typical AE82 spot on the back of the rear wheel arches. Also cleaned up a bit at the back where the bumper was rubbing through the paint. Also at this time I partly stripped out the interior by removing most of the rear panels, carpets, seat and seat belts. Also fitted my custom springs (4.5kg/mm rate all around) on some new KYB struts. After some mucking around to make the springs captive and a wheel alignment I headed out with a mate for some quick snaps. Also have a set of Genie primary and secondary extractors waiting to go on, and a basic roll cage to follow soon. Watch this space! Rust! 1st round of bog after grinding Cleaned up rear Undercoated Stripping the interior Brakes Springs and semi slicks back on! I'm extremely happy with the way it has come up and will be hitting the track for the first time next month. Can't wait! Matt.

Lol Brent look at that sexy chick posing on the bonnet of the tincan! Tate, that's Aaron from my tafe. Runs a 4k but is putting in a CA18 turbs :) I think I shall make him rep a rollaclub sticker tomorrow!

Welcome to both Fabz and RIDDLA. Hopefully we see both your beasts out and about soon :)
-
That little gem belongs to Ryan (bsp). He had the bright blue metallic KE20 on the Arthur's seat cruise last year :)
-
Or I can just go buy the whole thing for you ;) That way you don't need to worry about fixing the brakes.

Great drive today. Weather was crappy but at least the scenery was nice :)

In my opinion ben, I like the cars the way they are. However, on the AE92 maybe go a simple pinstripe design but I'd skip the squiggle. Looks so clean without it :)
-
Sure thing Luke. Be prepared for a headache :P

Sure, it's crude but it works ;)
