Name: Myles Car: 1967 KE10 Motor & Driveline: 4K, 4spd, extractors with 2" exhaust, did have flame thrower when purchased, but removed it Suspension & Brakes: KE20 struts, ke20 disk breaks on front Wheels & Tyres: Original steelies with ke20 hub caps (recently bought ke10 hubcaps for when i put this thing back together) Interior: halfway through re-trim, me and my brother r doin it our selves Body: being stripped for a repsray Other: waiting for the day it will be ready to drive When i bought it! How it looks now! (workin on the rust on guards and doors) a bit of the interior note it was only resting ontop of the seat itself, not properly attacthed

yeah, I'm using just a cheapo mask that came with welder as i don't plan on doin too much more welding after this car unless on another project, and yeah i am gettin a few constant runs (pic doesnt show the few good bits hehe) but i had a look at my old welds to the new ones I'm am improving slowly, i still have to grind it all down to get it lookin pretty yet but thanks for all the tips, i did more rust repairs on the car tonight and i found mooooreeee rust and big too! so there will be a few more days on the body! cus I'm not much of a welder, i am only cutting the rust out to get rid of it, then weld a new fresh piece in behind that and bog ova it to make it look perfect again, some people might think i shouldnt do it but i don't have all that much money to play with to get a tradesman to do it but thanks again guys ill keep tryin and hopefully soooooonish i will be takin it back to bare metal for a spray! **dreams** Cheers Myles

ok well the plan to get the first coat of paint on it befor my holidays ended, blew out the window when i went to straddie for a week, but I'm gettin there, tonight i did the worst part of the car, which was behind the rear passanger side wheel, my welding is improving slowly but nothin to rave about, but it holds strong so it'll do!

haha i supose thats the cheaper alturnative! but nar I'm hopin to restore this ke10 as they r gettin rarer by the day!, anyway back on track, i did more rust today i did under the passanger side tail light, this side was way worse the the drivers, and actually the passanger side of the car is the side that has most of the rust which i thought was a bit weird but yeah, wasnt very motivated so only did one section but it took me 3 and a half hours!, when this job could be done in 1 and a half easily. don't have ne pics but i will post a few more up when i more done, the plan is that we get the car completely stripped down to bare metal and and undercoated befor the end of my holidays! anyway thanks for the comments! ok guys, as i left the rust repair i started on thursay untill yesterday to start on again it covered itself in surface rust, so i grinded it all off and started welding again and blew holes into it everywhere so i cut that piece out and welded a new piece into it, this time the weld was a bit everywhere but it did the job. i painted it just to seal it from surface rust for when i strip the hole car down to bare metal. i also fixed the rust under the rear drivers side tail light! here are the pics i will bog the shape back into it when I'm painting it new peice welded in and painted under the tail light rust, all grinded back then the rear tailight rust repaired and painted! hope u r havin a good read soo far Cheers Myles

if or when it happens, the life of nearly all rolla's will be shortened by so much, from all the salt water, will rust them out in no time

winding mechanism

felix, i no its not hard but the teeth on my winders have been near on shreded off, so was just wondering how hard it is, sounds like a fair bit of work so i might just buy some after market ones, thanks for all the info guys myles!

yeah we didnt see the spin out, we just go to the track when the car after the spin went, but our mate that saw the hole thing told us, pretty crazy ey! yeah the white ke20 was neat! how quick was the purple ke20, that thing was insane! i was so dissapointed in the show 'n' shine tho, there was only cars that where pretty much out of everybody's budget, i was thinkin about entering the ke10 in the show and shine for jamboree this year (if completed) but i don't no wether i should cus of all these cars with thousands of dollars just in sound systems and stuff u no, like all really really big modifications, there was nothin small but tidy accept for the stock rx3 i think it was?? but yeah what d u think? should i bother entering the ke10 in if its complete and looks tidy? one last thing how beautfil is the rx3 "MUTANT", oohhhh **droolling** Cheers Myles

hey guys! what did u all think of this years mini jam? i thought the drags were half decent! but was a bit dissapointed in the show 'n' shine part of things, i saw a really original lookin ke20 in the paid for car park? was that nebody on here's car?? and i also saw a orange ke55 running gas! did a 13 something i think! when i get the pics off my brother i will post em up cheers Myles

yeah mate I'm close to 6'4" and I'm comftable in the ke55, even in the ke10 I'm pretty comfy!

thanks mate! the interior looks good ey I'm really pleased with it, it is still happenin but very slowly, anyway me,my brother and our dad all went 3rds in a welder yesterday so i started on the rust today! i got 3/4's of the way through the first bit of rust when the lil portable bottle they come with became empty, so me and dad jumped in the car and bought an "E" size bottle or something (decent size bottle) with the lot, then got home to find out the size hose they said would fit doesnt, so i only got this far thisarvo and will probly continue ova the weekend! please note this is my first eva go at tryin to weld so i think its a good atempt! here are the pics as u can see in this pic it looked like only a few lil holes that could be spot welded ova, but as for usual when really looked at it went deeper and wouldnt be long until it boke out again. so i cut the section out and clean all up then gave it a quick spray just to help prevent it from rust later on! then i cut metal out of the roof that i cut off the ke55 (if u want to see a ke55 convertible have a look in automotive discussion) then welded it into place until the bottle went empty, which was like 5 minutes of welding? thats all for today! 8/10 for the last one, i took this in tasmania last year when we went for a visit, this was taken on a day trip boat cruise, whats the first thing that comes to mind? or is it only me with a dirty mind hehehe u tell me? anyway back on track for good photography! these where all in tasmania aswell! the boat was in hobart when we were there, it just came in for a stop the thing was sooo big! and the rest are all sight seeing! \ Cheers myles!

yeah mate i think i have the 2 mud flaps ill have a look, about the pillars lol i have to agree! when I'm next bored with nothin to do they will be the next thing to go hehehe. Flat out, if i have the other mud flap ill pm u!
