  1. Got this from Toy-yoda (thanks mate) to complete the steering set-up, except I need the uni joint that links this to the rack, anyone?
  2. Massive day, stripped all the rust converter off (the guy at Spectrum said that it would react with the paint if I left it on, maybe that's what the last owner did?) the rolled the thinned Brightside on to the bare metal. As you can see, its not very even coverage wise, but the paint definitely does flatten out. It will be interesting to see how it goes with further coats.
  3. Stripped all paint off the roof and hatch/pillars and applied rust convertor/primer, might try the Brightside paint tomorrow.
  4. Gonna be fun (when it stops blowing a gale and raining)
  5. Most rotor guys will tell you a series 5 turbo box is major league overkill with a 12A, and early series RX7 boxes are signifcantly smaller than a series 5 turbo box. AFAIK a series 1 (and maybe series 2) RX7 box will fit the tunnel with no (or minimal) mods. I'm not a guru with rotors so check Ausrotary, maybe save a lot of hassle/work?
  6. Check the oppy lock on cold tyres:
  7. Yeah, have to admit corollas are more my thing. I'll see if I can find some more info.
  8. http://www.circlework.com.au/lightbox/inde...nd3&start=0 I am fairly sure its a 3SGTE, the driver has incredible car control (Leigh Forrest)
  9. So you don't have to go for a custom bell housing then...awesome work by the way. There's a dude down here that runs a 3SGTE in improved production (RA celica shell) and it seems very reliable and makes good HP, underrated combo.
  10. - around 1 minute mark :) - might be easier, LOL
  11. I reckon you'd be dissappointed with a standard L20. They are a tough engine and handle mods well, but that all takes $$$
  12. Magic rear bumper: appears then disappears again. Awesome car, but don't realy rate either sets of rims: 17s - just look too big IMHO, and the others - I hate 5 spokes mags drilled for 4 studs, the holes always look shit, apart from that - perfection. Get hassled by the Police much? LOL
  13. 1994 Suzuki RF600R is my bike, fantastic fun in light traffic :) A 600 is fast enough to scare yourself or do your license, but for ultimate fun any of the jap 1000s would be the best. Think twice before buying an R6:
  14. "jesus" disappointed me 4 the 1st time today - flat battery, really wierd as car was O.K. when parked 2 days ago, and no lights were left on, hmmmmmmmmmm... "jesus" is going to give his life when rego runs out, some of the fabrication on 'lazarust' is just too complex to be attempted from flat sheet, makes more sense to cut up "jesus" and weld those bits in.
  15. Had more of a look at some of the trickier fabrication bits today, some panels are sooo complex, I am going to sacrifice "jesus" for some bits. Because of this, I probably won't be able to keep to a $1K budget, so back to plan 'A' - track/drift car. Would the stock 2TGEU have enough grunt for drifting, or would I be better off going down the turbo route. Or the 3T bottom end 2TG head N/A (or turbo). I have a turbo off an L20ET that just needs a couple of seals, would that be O.K. size wise on the 2TG?
  16. How'd you go with that rod? I'll probably be coming up in a week and a half, (next weekend; 13th-14th September), or PM me your account details, and I'll put $10 in your account to cover postage.
  17. ...but if your going to go through the hassle of changing pistons, why the hell would you put in GZE pistons into a 20V? Surely there's a better option than that...
  18. Low boost should be O.K. with stock internals, 98 octane and good tune, (don't forget a decent intercooler)
  19. There are some Nissan Silvia stock rims (S13s ?) that look similar to those, just flatter faced.
  20. So you snapped the bleed nipples off? I'd say its impossible to bleed the brakes without the nipples. If the above methods don't work and you're fairly skilled mechanically you could try slowly and carefully drilling out the spare front caliper bleed nipple with a drill bit slightly smaller in diameter than the nipple. Then try to unscrew/remove the remaining nipple metal without damaging the thread it goes into. If successful, you could just get another bleed nipple and replace the stuffed one.
  21. ...except GZE pistons are for a 4 valve head, not a 5 valve one.
  22. Thanks heaps for that, really appreciate it.
