ping pong shows? really?! haha that would be awesome. My mates and I go down to our local for free ping pong every Sunday I've heard a lot about Chiang Mai! Will probably spend a little bit of time in Bangkok because thats where our flights are arriving/departing. Tea Gardens huh? Is it easy to find ? I've heard I should keep to the northern parts of Thailand because of all the demonstrations that are going on
  2. haha yeh i wonder if you 'parked' that thing on a hill would you just roll away? i don't think it has brakes...

Hey Guys, Was wondering if anyone could recommend awesome places to visit that only locals really know about?! Am looking to get some real culture into me, and I'm thinking the touristy places will probably be too commercial? Am open to all manner of suggestions. Will be over there late Feb/early Mar 09 Cheers!
  5. Now that my housemates decided to become vegetarians, meat is a scarcity in my house. My friend sent me an email today containing the following, which I thought rather amusing. Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruit and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.
  6. :lolcry: can we please revive Pirate cruises?
  7. sweeeeeeet! that sounds like a plan. I live in Northcote, but if its easier I can catch a train to wherever is most convenient for whoever is willing to put up with me for the day  edit: awesome photos BKS
  8. yeh def considering it! will depend on the monies...
  9. awesome cruise Andrew! Thoroughly enjoyed such a challenging drive (and as a result have just spent the last hour trying to relax the majority of the muscles in my tired body from all that crazy gear shifting) Great meeting some new people today too :) so who's organising the next cruise huh?!
  10. hey seabiscuit! Welcome to the club! Gorgeous wagon you've scored yourself there... can't wait to see more lol maybe you can put a bit of spark into the ACT rollaclub... I'm a bit sad I never got off my ass to be a more active member when I lived in the big bad Berra
  11. yep. johno helped me yest so i'm def coming now
  12. woohoo! here i was thinking the cruise wasn't till next month, but lo and behold it's already october, which means its in a week and a half :) (not that i'm starting a count down or anything)
  13. Damn you Jamin, I could barely contain myself it's so funny! Now it's obvious that i'm not working....
  14. I work in Collingwood, which is apparently a lot dodgier than I first thought. We get a lot of misdialled numbers for the brothel three blocks away... *ring ring* "Hello, this is Sonya" "Hi, I wanted to enquire about an advert I saw in the paper. Now, I'm a bit apprehensive, which I guess is part of the reason I'm calling" "oh?" "Well, I don't have much experience with transsexuals..." :y:
  15. HAHA I'm glad I'm not the only one that immediately jumped on here to see what people thought... Yeh, like you said, still the first episode, it may find its own legs half way through the season. The reviews seem less comprehensive than its UK counterpart, and every second word is 'V8' which I find rather annoying, although I guess the Australian audience has a different set of priorities. Am also wondering: The UK version slags out so much on Vauxhall, so who the hell are we gonna pick on?
  16. I recently bought a Wacom tablet and have been practicing my sketch rendering...
  17. ! nah it's legit... took it in Ocean Park, Hong Kong
  18. Continuing the theme of rap... This time it's Microsoft Sam. The ending is gold
  19. Can you please call it "satay"?
  20. The ambigram one TE278U put up is really clever, but to be honest I don't think it suits. here's my two cents: if you're gonna update the header/logo, it should be more of an identity, rather than something someone just typed in word and changed the font.... anyway, there's nothing wrong with the current one!
  21. Bert and Ernie Rappin' ANTE UP!
  22. DAMMIT! Am SO keen! But am coming back from Canberra that day...and only discovered this thread today... serves me right for being slack on the forums. :) Have a great time dudes. If you ever do it again, count me in fo'sure
  23. not a game, but I still manage to waste a reasonable amount of time here: http://graphjam.com/ www.postsecret.com
  24. Due to the top quality of my 2.0 megapixel shitty camera phone, I only have two photos to put up... ALSO  I may have mentioned this to you before Johno, but you did a top job organising this trip... However, I believe one of the maps posted up to be somewhat misleading, so in the interests of future ventures up Arthurs Seat, I have a more accurate depiction of the road that lies ahead... :P: ...and that's all I have to contribute on this matter
