  6. Hi mate, earlier 3k engines had a water outlet on the back of the head for the heater. Some one has blocked it off and havent done a very neat job, thats all.

  9. Hi Guys, The RadRollaz club will be attending the Annual Toymods Mega cruze to palm beach. Its a great day out with over 50 cars cruzing together with heaps of photo opps and a BBQ at palm beach to top it all off. Sunday the 27th of November Time: 10:00 for a 10:30 leave Place: Wilson Park Silverwater, Cnr Clyde Street and Silverwater road Silverwater (see map below) Destination: Palm Beach via the city. What to Bring: Some $$$ for the BBQ and maybe a fold up chair to sit on Ok once we head out of Homebush and up to Victoria Road then through the city, we go around the back of IMAX and then over the harbor bridge. Stick to the right lanes and we take the Ernest street exit and follow the signs to Manly. Over the Spit and its right at the top of the hill and down Sydney Road Once in Manly it's up to North Head and then out again To get out of Manly we use Harbord Rd to take us to Warringah Road. Ok final meet up point is just south of Palm Beach at an oval where we can all get together and get some photos of the cars and toilets there too. It's Hitchcock Park, just near a BP on Barrenjoey Road and there is Tennis Courts on the park. For all of you with a GPS it's just north of the intersection of Barrenjoey Road and Whale Beach Road. As always the Toymods BBQ will be fired up. Let me know if your keen to tag along ! Thanks
  10. Good to see you getting into it Andrew, gauges look sweet. I'm looking forward to seeing some more progress, let me know if you need a hand with turning the manuel gearbox speedo drive into an electric signal to run the Autmeter speedo gauge. There are a few places that can install a small unit that does this and calibrate it to suit your car about $220 from memory.
  11. The TE27 was also my faviourate car of the show ! The Ke15 belonged to one of the older blokes in the toy mods club that also has a rare as corona, the roof on the ke15 actually came off my old ke17 that he bought off me for parts to restore his car. Turned out really nice !
  12. Hi guys, Toyota Fest went well today other than the rain it turned out to be a good day with alot more Corolla's than most years which was good to see, congratulations to all the guys who won and to Jason won took out car of the show. Here are a few pics ! Enjoy.

  15. Thanks Phil, looking forward to catching with you guys too.
  16. Thanks mate, plan is to paint it down the track as it looks great in the pics but there are a few touchups ive had to do on the car were surface rust was building up. The fact i work at a smash repairs makes it easier also. I just want to keep the car looking good and reduce the chances of rust building up.
  17. Hey Even, Marty finally listen to me and changed his grill and made up a carbon fibre wrapped gill check it out ! Looks heaps better. I'm with you Evan, orange grill was just too much orange for the car.
  18. Getting the Rolla ready for the show this weekend so i have been busy doing as much as i can before the show. I decided to run my rare as Mesh ke35 grill and as it looked worn and faded i gave it a re vamp at work and did a two tone silver on gunmetal grey paint scheme on it. I also got a bit of thinners and took all the factory satin black off the Crown of flowers badge on the gill which shows off the chrome underneath. Enjoy the pics !
  19. Getting ready for the show this weekend and of course you have to detail your car right ! Of course you do, why not start underneath :hmm: Things we do for our cars !
  20. Thanks mate, I'm trying to keep the same sort of detail with this ke30 as i had on my old ke30 just with out the power of the FJ for a while :y: Here are a few updates, i replaced the original carpet as it was faded and falling apart as well as re running all the wiring for the sterio as it was run badly with no thought put into it at all. Here are a few pics :hmm:
  21. Thanks mate :y:
  22. Already on the cards Jeri, ill be lowering it an inch or so more when i do the suspension. Hi Mark, i decided to sell my old Ke30 for a few reasons. At the time i wanted to get out of debt and selling the rolla was my only option, i also wanted to get engaged and selling up and putting my priorites first was the smartest thing to do. I had so much fun with that Ke30 and i achevied all the things i wanted to with it ,but in the end there were a few things that always bothered me about the car and I'm happy that now I'm out of debt, engaged and ive now got my dream Rolla, as i always wanted a 2 door Ke30 and its even the colour i wanted strange how things work out !
  23. Thanks heaps for the positive feedback guys, ive had this look with the colour coded wheels in mind for ages and I'm happy with how they look. Thanks again :y: See you at Toyofest !
  24. Thanks Jeri, ive been hard at it mate doing alot to my Ke30 in the last few months. Finally got the wheels on today and I'm sure a few people are not going to like how they look but I'm not even sure i like it yet so I'm hopeing the colour coded look grows on me. Been getting heaps of looks on the road today so its definatley standing out, i also gave the car a polish and i still have trouble believing how good the original paint is on this car.
  25. Thanks for the feed back guys ! Here are a few pics i took today, hopefully ill get the wheels on in a week or so and fingers crossed they look ok. I also started collecting parts to overhaul the suspension which ill do when i have all the bits i need.
