Update time , got the rolla all edged out and painted in , out and under. Now ill leave it to the pro painter to finish it off. Really happy to have it at this stage and next will be painting the shell then ill let it sit a week or so and then start putting it back together.

Wish i could take the credit mate , i left it to the pro painter at work with 20 years experience.

Hi Phil , ive watched all those american car dvds and they always give me ideas. The trolley come up great and has made it really easy to work on the car and move it around the work shop. Btw your in the will mate.

Update time and I'm a little closer to getting the rolla painted. A few panels are done and I'm taking the shell to work in the next few days and hope fully it will be done in a few weeks time ready to put her back together which I'm looking forward to.

Looking good mate, at least now you will be able to get the power down and run good times. Are you going to keep it registerd ?

Hi guys quick up date, been busy painting all my bits and getting the inside ready for paint. I also edged out my panels ready for their final block down. Got the motor painted finally which turned out well. Next its time to run brake lines so i can drill a few holes before the shell gets painted.

Hi guys, a few recent updates. Got most of my panels primerd up and ready for their final block down. Also got the ke30 mobile for the first time in 5 months. Built a car trolley with with marty to get the car mobile and take her to work for a bare metal respray in the standard colour. I must say paint stripping the car has so far been very quick and easy with no bog in sight and the original paint lifting off perfectly which has made it kind of enjoyable. Big thanks to my mate marty for the help and my boss for the scrap metal and wheels. Freebie !

No worries mate, just sent you a pm. I'm running a honda motor in my ke 30 with factory 6speed. Ive been refering to my mate martys ke30 we built with sr20 conversion.

Thanks mate, i wanted to do this conversion for a long time but always thought it was out of reach being an expensive motor but it funny how things work out.

Hi mate, love your Ke30 looks like mine just with two extra doors. I'm currently doing a conversion on mine also ive used an R31 skyline diff for a few reasons. Standard LSD, Disk brakes, 28 spline axles, same stud pattern as corolla and cheap as to buy. They also fit the shape of the floor alot better than a hilux diff which i had in my old FJ20 powered Ke30 and not even being that low the diff used to hit the foor as the housing is different in shape and doesnt clear as easy as the R31 diff. A friend of mine ran a 9 inch in his corolla, it was major overkill and the floor was modified to fit it as they are huge. If you need any info or have questions about Sr20 swap I'm happy to help as ive done this conversion in my mates KE30 also. Good luck !

Thanks mate, getting rid of the horns on the radiator support was a last minute thing as i wasnt going to at first. The diff has a panard rod now and cal trac bars also which should help with traction not that it will have alot of power but i had them so i thought id use them.

Hi guys havent updated my build thread in a while, conversion is nearly done just sorting out fuel system now and still have to do brake lines and hand brake cables. I have also started on the body work, stripping all panels to bare metal and fixing any pits of rust that were there before they got worse. Engine bay is done just have to drill a few holes and its ready for paint. Anyways enjoy the pics

Hi, thought id update you guys with more pics. Tunnel is welded up and nearly done and i got my diff back cut down and ready to be trial fitted. Looking forward to mounting up my custom tramp rods and sorting the rest of the drive line over the next few weeks. Also got to finally try my 16 inch Falcon chasers on the rear and they fit good, just need to get the widened now.

Hi, been doing alot to the rolla recently like finishing all the mounts off and getting Marty round to do my custom radiator support. Ill most probably have to go custom radiator but i will look around and see if i can fit something stock out of who knows what as its just a standard 2.0L motor and i have heaps of room for it. I'm keeping the idea of the AE71 rack and pinion aside for now as i have to bolt on the factory extractors and see if it will fit with factory Ke30 steeering box set up, just in case a good mate with a huge OKA Aussie Built machine came past and dropped a rack off to me so i can cut it up. Went and pickup up my stock ke diff and got a sneek peak of my cut down diff awaiting axles which was good. Started on the tunnel last night so thats going to be interesting, first time for me so see how we go, luckaly i have good mates who can fab up the harder stuff for me. More pics next time !
