  1. I put an AE82 4ac in my AE71 no worries, so i can't see why it won't work the other way round. The engine mount threads were all there to suit each orientation, I just swapped the manifolds and cooling system. So to put it simply, the blocks and heads are identical. Sump will fit either orientation too.
  2. That sucks. So will AE86 p/steering arms work with standard corona struts/brakes?
  3. Cooool. Have you got any pics you could upload?
  4. Also check your viscous fan coupling is working. Get your motor to normal operating temperature and then turn it off. The radiator fan should be resistant to spinning by hand. If it's rooted it'll just spin freely.
  5. Haha yeah ok then, i take that back for now
  6. As always, very impressive engineering man. :D
  7. Hey people, Just wondering about the effects of removing TVIS from a bigport; it's supposed to make it doughy in the low end due to reduction in air velocity right? So can anyone tell me if this is evident while running twin side draughts? Thanks, Phil
  8. I made one for my T50, same as a KE70 K40 (maybe K50?) shifter.I used a spare shifter off a rooted 'box. I cut and extended the bottom half of the shifter rod by 10mm, and drilled/cut a 10mm spacer plate. Worked alright too, but my gears were rough enough already so i took it took it out.
  9. +1 in favour of the "how to" write up :jamie:
  10. The main problem with RA60 struts is the king pin inclination angle/stub axle angle is different to the corolla's. So once installed, the front wheels will have positive camber. I haven't installed the RA60 ones personally, but enough people have warned against them that I'd rather use XT130 ones. No camber plate/control arm fix required. Phil
  11. Yeah I've got RA60 front suspension in my shed i was gonna use too. Try reading this thread: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/board/in...showtopic=35954 You could try the setup Roo just mentioned too.
  12. I recommend XT130 struts and brakes rather than RA60 ones which mess with your suspension geometry. You get big rotors and twin pots which work way better than the standard KE70 stuff. There's also the option later to put RA60 vented discs with Cressida calipers on the corona struts. - Phil
  13. Cruising home the other night, A ford festiva was on the wrong side of the highway (separate dual lanes), straight towards us! My mate driving pulled off the road down the first turn available, about 50m before the car passed us, oblivious to our honking. I watched him pass another car (this one sharing the road with him), and then his brake lights came on. Probably drugs involved
  14. Hey andrew, waddaya want for the diff from the auto KE70? Edit: PM me a price so we don't get reamed by mods
