4age just as economical as a 1.3L if not better if u don't thrash it and u get double the power and double the fun (nothing ileagle of corse)

well really the only hard part is wire-ing up the lume all the putting in bits are generally fitting shit, just doing up nuts and bolts if u are fairly handy with a spanner i don't see why not you don't give it a go it will cost alot more probably up wards of 800 - 1k for a mercanic and thats the value of the car just labour if you do a chunk ur self u can save a fair ammout

ahahah yeah the dellow ones are twisted slightly so a very custom gearbox mount has to be made then theres issues with the gear stick and starter motor postition and shit like that i'll stear clear of them ones i'v almost decided that its not wearth it yet i riped the engine from the celica and took the sump off and have a look what came out ahahahahah not good me being no mercanic but i reccon the person that f@$ked it most probably over heated it coz you can see its riped the bearing out and probably locked up and riped the conrod to shreds if you look at the one of the studs had its head torn off and it looks like it got hot really hot

yeah you can get a fairly heavly work 5k to line up again a rock stock standerd newer 4age altho 4age are getting on in life now, they should start thinking about investing some cash for retirement :)

well really a front cut would be your best option cos you get engine computer breaks basicly everything forward of the dash in one package deal-eo or you can search arround u could probably get an engine lume and ecu for 800-1500 bucks if u looked hard enough don't go out and buy a engine straight up if you wait someone will always have a nother engine they wanting to sell generally cheaper than the last

ok DO not hit the top because you can mushroom the top and u'l lhave to cut it off get a medium hammar and tap the sides at like a 80-90 degree angle and it will come out eventually i wacked mine for 10 mins just don't hit the top

3k probably wont be enough because you need a fair bit of custom made shit mounts engine gearbox crossmemebrs then theres rego insurance engineering that sort of shit 3k's probably not enough

my boss at my work had a problem like that funnie story they had this nissan diesel van peace of shit as a horse and cart from the shop they owned and yeah there brother take a look at it and said that u know this thing is probably gonna throw a rod soon enough so they traided it in for a new car the mercanic that baught it had it 3 days test drive befor the money and papers were signed and given ahahah then the same day they they traided it in and and paid for there new car the van they sold them "threw a leg out of bed" and kicked a hole in the block. twas funnie cos leagley he couldent do anything so i'm sure a signiture was written and handed over he carnt do anything

i'm no mercanic and don't claim to be but it is a hell of a lot cheaper doing most of the work your self and really its not that hard i had a quick look at around at gregors and its not that complicated if u have wireing diragram i reccon maby a good day or a couple of days the rest of of the bolt in on shit is basily haveing a good set of tools and instructions ahahah the only thing the shop will have to do is exhaust, and tuneing on mine hopefully
