  1. Kristy's been trying to get me to watch "Red Dwarf" She's a huge Monty Python fan. I used to watch Mac Guyver and "Are you being served?" with my gramma does anyone remember "Jayce and the wheeled warriors"?
  2. BJ AND THE BEAR!? I used to LOVE that show when I was like 4!!!!! That and Grizzly Adams I got a little older and CHiPs beat out Dukes for my favorite show
  3. Knight Rider was my 3rd favorite show behind "Fall Guy"(2) and "Dukes of Hazzard"(1) I just bought the first season of Fall Guy
  4. back to your interior question... Black carets black package tray black console black seatbelts black dash Cream doorcards cream seats with a smallish black insert or black stripe cream headliner cream kick panels Substitution; instead of black inserts or stripes you could with body color (orange?) stripes or black inserts with body color stripes in the cream seats. the white/black contrast gives it an old '60s American musclecar look
  5. I had one on my stock 4k and it was great! It even made more power than the EFI does. I had a tunnel ram adapter between the two though.
  6. Love the deep olive, HATE the blue, too many white ones, red is boring. my KE18 is going to be Supra deep maroon.
  7. Mikey no likey the REPUs.... I know where one is in good shape with a 2.8 ford v-6 and a c 4. this is not Rotary friendly country here. Plus; I got a sweet truck, I just can't afford 23mpgs when I drive 140mi every day. The courier gets 28mpgs and that is borderline when Daisy gets 34mpgs.
  8. some more current pics; I've decided to switch gears; I've actually found the truck I REALLY want; a first gen B1600. I LOVE the recessed grille and quad lights as well as the basic shape, kinda like Couriers Mk I and II. I have to wait until we get back from Virginia in late Sept. until I can make the purchase. Then another couple of weeks to a month before I can make the 6 hr trip to pick it up. It runs, but smokes. there's very little rust and very little body damage. It just needs the front bumper and lower valance.
  9. got some floors; I put 3" blocks in the rear, cut 1.5 coils off of the front. Blew another tire, got 1 of the 15" tires monted. My other boss just gave me an '82 Mazda B2000 sundowner sport. It's got buckets, console, indash a/c and a factory tach. There are two 1" rust spots AND THAT'S IT! It has, however, been in a wreck at some point in it's life and not fized very well so I will have to do the bodywork right. I was going to use the cab, but its frame was undercoated from the factory and has no rust anywhere. So, instead I will just put my engine and bed on it and cut out and swap VIN #'s (Kinda illegal) the later model ones have better front ends with cheper and easier to obtain parts, the transmissions are geared out better. they don't generally have the fatique problems that the 2nd gen ones do. will post pics on tuesday, when I get back from working.
  10. Because I was an engineer for a company in '01 that used Yugo drivetrains in their vehicles. I've owned 12 of them.....they're really not bad cars.
  11. to import gray market vehicles into the US it must be brought to the standards for that year; I.E. we tried to import some brand new Yugos back in '91, but we had to update bumpers, doors, dashes, add airbags, add smog devices.....you get the point. this is why we stopped getting the Mini and the Honda 600 in '73.
  12. Hello from jOklahoma! There's me with a KE18 and a sisterluvin hippie from Arkansas with a built KE10 on this board. I would suggest a 4KE 1.3l Starlet swap for a little extra ummmph without spoiling the look. There should be MANY rotary Starlet swaps in your area to get the stock drivetrain from. I have 6 Sprinter 12" wheel covers as well as 3 of Daisy's original 12" wheel covers.
  13. Oh, no....it WILL be recabbed by winter. Read above like when I got wet driving it in the rain.....and that was with the floormats. You think it would pass inspection out there? I will have the floors tacked up by tomorrow so I can go to work wed.
  14. Repairable?? I can and will put a band-aid on it, but it's wayy too far gone to repair; there's nothing to attach new metal to!!
  15. pics; got the twinlight conversion done; still need to get the bumper and upper/lower valances. this thing REALLY needs a cab
  16. Got another Courier; this one's an '81, has 108,000mi on the clock, mazda 2.0, 5 speed with a FRIED clutch. ABSOf@$kINGLUTELY no floors. The cab is so rusty the floor is gone, and there's nothing much left for the door hinges to bolt to. I got really wet driving it to work in the rain the first day. Why? He wanted $100usd for it, then told me I could instal a new p/s pump on his '74 chevy 350 and he would GIVE it to me. So it cost me 2 hrs labor, a $35 clutch plat I had leftover from Courier mk. II and a weber 32/36 carb I had in the shed due to the nikki leaking, I had to rebuild the idler arm, and I had a blowout. So those and the rego cost me about $150usd. It gets 29-31 mpg@ 70mph and uses NO oil. It runs PERFECT! It's worth a cab methinks, I will do this one right. I've already found a rolled '77 mazda B1800 for the twinlight conversion.
  17. are you in the us by chance?
  18. sure send the truck..... technically it's not mine anymore as I gave it to my buddy with the scrapyard. But he's really reasonable and I don't think he'd want much for the parts. Prices go up a lot when he has to pull them and he would probably expect me to pull them. YOU will have to set up UPS pickup in Woodward, Ok 73801 as they don't pick up in Alva. I work in Woodward so I could dropof no problem. here in better days:
  19. I have the whole car..... Put a windsheild in it, wire up the alternator and replace the fuel pump and away you go.
  20. Is it a grey market car? I.E. bought in Japan and brought over here. Or was it originally bought here. In Aus. they were called a T-18; one these guys could clue you in better on that. Bubba has a good 5 speed (T50) and a good 3rd member, but it's got 4.10s, so it does 73 mph @4,000 rpm. Grinding noise is probably countershaft bearings as evinced by the quiet 4th gear (1:1 ratio) popping out is probably due to the extra clearance in those bearings or like Love ke 70 said, detent springs. Either way, I'd say you're gonna be walking soon.
  21. He's here in the US; no such thing as a KE70 here. Hello from jOklahoma, like androo said; you have a TE72. It should have a 3TC and T40/T50 trans. basically it's just an '81 corolla liftback as far as getting parts goes. Let me know what you need; Bubba is still sitting in the scrapyard full of good parts
  22. Non-Us; amber rear t/s were illegal here until '75 or '76. I can't remember what my late '73 had on it.
  23. If I could split into catagories; Suspense: 1) Vanishing Point 2) Duel 3) Mad Max Anime: 1) Fantastic Adventures of Unico. 2) Eureka Seven 3) Nausica And anything else by Tezuka and Miyasaki Sappy Drama; 1) My life as a house 2) The Lake house 3) Where the heart is Comedy; 1) The money pit 2) 50 first dates 3) The wedding singer Not really into action or horror, so I don't know any. I hope this isn't too far a bend in the rules, but it's so hard to sum up just 3 movies when there are so many different catagories.
  24. 1) The Fantastic Adventures of Unico 2) MASK 3)Windaria
  25. Damn! I wish I could draw that well These are from a graphic novel I started writing when I was 11. I've started re-writing it as a straight novel. this page is from when I was age 11/12 this is from the last book when I was age 16?
