  1. that's what I figured; low low 17s, high high 16s the Cricket ran a 17.17@72mph a LONG time ago
  2. Going back to the steelies and dog dish hubcaps as soon as I find a pair that DO NOT LEAK!!!! I need one more I'm running the 9' rear brakes from the TE28, and those back tires are way too sticky. When car show season comes around, I will be putting a pair of old bias ply tires on her to burn up.
  3. That's a new clutch. it stopped slipping after it cooled down. I felt that an "aid" would be cheating as I USED to burn 'em until they popped with the 4.10s He didn't post the footage of me backing her into the puddle and killing about 10,000mi off of the tire.
  4. Don't know about times; but in a marked 1/4mi daisy will just hit 80mph.
  5. As above.... New rear brakes, 3.58 gears and REALLY sticky tires conspired against me to deny the ever famous smoky burnout. A week later and the pile o' rubber is still sticky....
  6. hell no...... I will be doing this swap someday.
  7. Yeah; only 200mi away......
  8. "Ain't talkin' 'bout love" and "Hot for teacher" I just bought a 'Candlebox' and 'Better than Ezra" cd.......f@$k yes.
  9. Use the Force, Luke......
  10. "Layla" I actually met "layla's" brother....he told me the story behind the song; and also "wonderful tonite" (same chick)

I can personally vouch for TulsaTurbo. It's refreshing to have someone into old imports out here in an area where import cars aren't welcome. TT has a wealth of toyota parts and cars as well as lots of rotary knowlage :jamie: velcome!
  12. Daisy; 11/69 KE18 (1970) corolla wagon VIN = KE18 004260 Originally Flame Red
  13. Damn that was cool! But I'm still using the Starlet for parts.......
  14. Wow has it been that long? You had a bent strut way back then, didn't you?
  15. Yeah, Doug; I get that problem REALLY bad, it's really unnerving when you're in a curve and it "hops" to the outside. I think it's worse on the wagons due to the stiff rear springs.
  16. Are they still making Worldstars on the old base? I used to be an engineer for World Transport Authority, and was there in 2/01.
  17. how much is the whiteline kit?
  18. here he is.... the guy's wife and sister in law got drunk one day whilst he was at work and "detailed" it for him....that will be removed tomorrow. it runs good on 3.5 cylinders, doesn't smoke, the transmission is QUIET!!!! (going in Daisy) The clutch is only 1 year old (going in Daisy) The front sway bar bushings are wasted, so it's all over the road. I'm gonna drive it to work and back until the rego runs out, the I don't know what I'll do with the carcass. Bubba's 3tc/t50 would go nicely in the engine bay
  19. So named because he's just an organ donor... Bought for $300usd with a new clutch and a rebuilt transmission both will be going in Daisy. I plan to remove the struts and bend them to correct Daisy's horrible positive camber. I haven't decided whether I'm going to put all my worn out parts on it and sell it as a whole car, or strip it and store the spares and sell the shell on ebay for a rotary swap (BIG over here) or REALLY strip it and scrap the body. There are a few old rolla guys out here, can't remember their screen names, but I'm sure one of them would like a 4K. Now I'm just waiting for Kristy to get home so she can drive me the 45mi to pick it up and drive it home. Pics when we get back........
  20. X2 my 2c; just go back and look at Teddy's earliest postings....Holy f@$k! now he's the Admin!!!
  21. Hey corolla nut; you're really not that far from me.....I just picked up an '81 starlet for the 5 speed. It's got a good 4k......interested? I'd really like to see your disc brake setup; I've got starlet struts on mine.
  22. I named Daisy daisy because people in Rollaclub were in the immense habit of naming their cars. I named her after the blossom on the grille. In hindsight; I should have named her "Blossom" I named Bubba after the dirt farmer Okie I bought him off of the cricket is named Cricket Jellybean was named so because she looked like a jelly bean Fugly is so named because she is so f@$king ugly
  23. I don't neccessarily rate "f@$k YES!!!!" songs by agression/road rage; but here are some of mine...... Pretty much anything by Flogging Molly, primarily "What's left of the flag" and "Swagger" YESSSS!!!! Pretty much anything by S.O.D. Primarily "Chop suey" OLD Metallica.....before they sold out. My fav. song by them is "Dyers eve" I absolutley LOVE The Killers, but I don't consider them "f@$k Yeah" music "On the turning away" and "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd. "Over the hills and far away" and "Trampled Underfoot" by Led Zeppelin Anything by Brand New Anything by Guns-N-Roses and Many, many more..... 2c
  24. hammer, channel locks, 2X4, and a 3" piece of pipe. The metal can't be stretched anymore without cuting and flaring and that's not gonna happen I need to have the strut tubes bent to correct the camber, but I cannot find anyone here to do it. That would gain me 1/2" of clearance
