I've been talking to Kristy about what color to paint it and she says; "it doesn't matter what color you paint it; it will always be ugly..." I think I'm gonna name it "fugly" I actually got it running under its own power today; I tied the rod to the intake to keep the journal from smacking it, rigged up a gas can tank, and put some aired up tires on it. I discovered the left rear spring has 3 out of 4 leaves broken on it. I started it up; no oil pressure though it was full of oil, pushed the "reverse" button, and promptly backed it into the '65 bonneville that was parked behind it. Then I pushed the 'drive" button, and drove it onto the pathway where it stopped. I floored it, but all I got was revvs. Getting out; I saw the tires spinning at idle, and I tried to help it, but it was VERY stuck. By now the Bearings were screeching and screaming for mecy, so I yanked the hot wire and killed it. It's gonna have to sit there until the thaw....... :P Did I mention that it's been there since '76?

they only imported the 10 series wagon from 4/69-4/70; daisy is a 11/69. all 10 series are rare over here; but the wagons are really rare. those desotos would go for around $10,000us for the 2dr and $8,000us for the 4dr because they're firesweeps. The foreswep was a dodge with a desoto bumper and tailights and aren't considered "real" desotos by purists. A '57 fireflite in fair to rough shape would sell for 10g's over here. 4 grand could get me a decent restorable firesweep and I love it long time

just kicking around a thought; if I could get $4,000usd for her; I'd sell.... there's one on ebay going for $1,200usd and it's beat, stock daisy has EFI, 4k, k51, spare k60, t series 3.58 gears, starlet disc brakes, cruise control, a/c, extractor, 2" exhaust, louvred hood, side windows welded up.....

Daisy has EFI, there's just something about going out and turning the key when it's 10*f and having it start.....

for now I plan to convert it to carb, then I will rebuild the fuel tank with baffles, etc, put in a return line and wire it up. I have the schematic fo' the wires

Ya, I pretty much HATE everything G.M. did, this is from experience. My '68 chevelle finally killed all the respect I USED to have for gm. I've had the best luck with Ford, the most fun with MoPaR. But I'll still take a toyota over an american car. go ahead...call me a commie
