-
i like the '53 SO much better it's been parked in that spot since '75......1 hour of messing around and it runs a couple of the valves are sticking open, but that should correct itself it's gonna cost me $130usd to get the brakes up......
-
you know; i never was too fond of the '49's look, it was there and cheap i did find something we both like a LOT, so i traded it's a '53 plymouth cranbrook flathead 6 3 on the tree, comes with an almost identical '54 with an overdrive as soon as i can get kristy to supervise my photochopping; i will play................

well, after selling my beloved '69 plymouth wagon to get a '57 dodge custom royal lancer that had been sold out from under me; i settled on this....... a '49 plymouth deluxe fastback 218 flathead 6 3 on the tree unk. gears out back it definetly needs a valve adj. and the brakes need to be rebuilt as it's been sitting since '86 the body is almost rust free, only a little in the floors it doesn't smoke and shifts okay, just has a miss and idles rough the plan is to get it mechanically sound, brakes first and go through the engine tuning lower it about 3" wide whites on 7" red stockos with baby moons dual exhaust w/ glasspacks MATTE BLACK!!!!! if i cannot get the engine to run smooth, an efi 318 w/ 727 will be going in there...... i am going to take my time on this
-
i'm not going to get this; i bought the fastback as the asshole sold the '57..... it's actually a '49 with the flathead 6 and a 6 volt system (new experience) been sitting 10 years in a lot, got it home (after coming off the tow dolly and crashing into a parked car) poured the gas down the carb and it fired right up..... rat rod, here i come!!!!!!
-
i have 2 4kc dizzys here in the states; $50us each+ shipping
-
i would drive it if the engine was too bad, i have a great 4k sitting in san diego i could swap in as far as worth; it really does have a LOT of rust in it; and i really love my wagon......

there was a story in the mopar mag about a guy who went out and bought a fully loaded '78 volare/aspen kit car he instructed the dealership NOT to start or drive the car, and to call him when the truck was due. he then loaded it into a sealed trailer and took it to body shop to have the decals applied then he parked the sealed trailer in a climate controlled barn for 20 years and decided to haul his "mummy" to car shows it only has 2 miles on it and cost almost $9,000usd new, more than a standard coupe de ville in that day frankly, i think it's a waste of a car
-
yeah, he want's $800 for it i really want a big finned mopar though, the '57 dodge was sold to his nefew, but if it's not gone by sunday, it's mine if i don't get that, there's a '50 plymouth deluxe 2dr fastback i can get for $700

just about right, i'd say there's an automatic edit that won't let me say "c**t" and i agree completely with tom210, their faq is really good, i just don't like the layout

i used this stuff and it worked AWESOME!!! just clean really well with scotch-brite and maybe use an adhesion promoter (i didn't) the thicker you spray, the darker it gets, but i sprayed it pretty thick and they look fine
