yeh u were right man, too loud, either il run one big hot dog or a 2" straight through muffler not sure yet, yeh under diff, cbf doin the turning thing u said so need some short stroke shocks so i don't strangle the diff when its on the hoist lol
chucked a pioneer amp and 2 10 inch subs in for a bit more audio fun.... sounds good not over the top still hear the exhaust clearly haha... also am the proud owner of an sc14 purchased for $40 and a malpassi fuel reg i had layin about haha cheerin, will chuck that on soon, am also lookin for a drivers bucket seat if anyone has one layin about
got busy with the exhaust this weekend, 2inch from centre flange to twin 3 inch pipes, its waaaaaaayyyy too loud, like over the top loud, will be gettin a muffler soon lol, just gota avoid the :fuzz:
hey i have done about 2 hours searching and have not found the answer I'm after, i recently picked up an sc14 with no pulleys bearings or coils on the front... how can i do a vbelt conversion without using any of the clutch parts i.e. make a v belt pulley fit onto the splined shaft of the supercharger... or would it be better to find a clutch and wire it to ignition power so its on all the time? goin on a 4k btw, this is a pic i found of how mine is atm
duuuuuuude i work for ford and i specialise in LPG, i rebuild those converters all day everyday if u ever need anything just let me no, the amount of spare converters i have is ridiculous
well i played around with the carb gave it a clean serviced engine new plugs etc, carb needs rebuild but its goin better now, also test fitted terrys new rims, need bigger guards lol saw that comin a mile away
i just want a bit more power but the carby is pretty f@$ked, flat spots everywhere along the rev range so I'm servicing it and cleaning the carby out tomoro and have a play with the mixture see how we go eh

ok so as you all know the 4k is slow as dogs balls... been doin a bit of readin up as havent had much to do with these motors and am contemplating a 5k conversion.... seems to me id see an extra 20 or so hp which would be handy and more torque... what do u all think? is it worth it? who can give me a comparison whose done the conversion? will 4k drive plate fit on 5k and auto bolt up ok?
finished product after painting bonnet and lh guard, will come up ok with a buff but i need to paint the whole lh guard bcoz the fkn masking tape ripped some paint off grrr
haha this thing wouldnt tow the skin off a rice pudding, i may look at the sc14 option down the track but it will just be a daily for a bit, roadworthy tomoro then rego thursday :)
after dickin around with a vl turbo that i was gona use to tow my ca18 ae71 for the past few months iv decided its not worth it anymore and bought myself this new beast... gold ke70 sedan stock as a rock 4k auto with overrated interior. the paint isnt to bad and it has NO rust in guards but had rust in the bonnet and behind the rear wheels and along the body below the boot. this is how i bought it...
so i figured seeing as the ca18 rolla wont be seeing the track til next year id rip out the suspension and fit it to the ke along with the wheels which JUST fit on the rear with a light guard roll...
this weekend I'm fixing all the rust and then il get a roadworthy during the week,(it is in roadworthy condition! ever the wiper inserts are ok haha!)
then il be makin up an exhaust for it and drivin it around holding people up etc etc haha
