  1. only thing i had to do to my ae71 to fit the ca box was cut the tunnel back a bit more to fit the shifter through... no clearance issues in the tunnel whatsoever
  2. wow... i clicked on this thread to tell you to go away but now i can say i respect at least 2 excels in this world.... the other one being a twin turbo big block drag car but i think this is cooler!!! well done

  5. mate the ca18 conversion is not straight forward as such but has ALOT more going for it than a ca20... the ca18/20 hybrid conversion is not something to take on lightly and is not just a "slap her together" process as such... imo not really worth it if your after cheap performance definitely go a 4AGE conversion in any of its guises, for ease, bang for buck, aftermarket support and general info on the conversion you can't beat it... keeping in mind you are going to efi so you will need custom wiring, fuel system including lines, exhaust, mounts, diff conversion or welded centre (cheapie :rock: ) brakes etc etc... none of this will be done by a novice ( assuming you are ) over the weekend unless you have super keen, knowledgable mates willing to help out... if you really don't want a 4AGE and its your daily driver then buy something else and work on it in your spare time... :wub: hope that helps a bit

  12. nice buy mate! yeh those monroe shocks are frustrating... if you go on ae86dc you will find ae86 front struts etc then go ultima suzuki siera rear shocks and 6k springs in the rear and of course adj panhard rod... check my rollaclub rides post to c what i did with mine you will need to do some diggin to find the same shit but thats the basic idea
  13. just finished off the suspension and diff tonight... have cut low king springs in the rear so i can set up my ride height to what i want then get custom springs made.... its f@$kn low atm the exhaust is not even an inch off the ground lol... should leave it that way but il raise the front a bit :jamie:

  18. hey guys a mate from work is organising a few people to enter this motorkhana, il be takin my ae82 and there will be a few other rollas there to, would be great to rock up with a few others from rollaclub... anyone interested let me no on this thread this week so i can tell him some numbers. so far its 80 bucks but price will come down with more people. cheers

  20. nah i don't have a spare one but they are everywhere man I'm sure youl find a cheap one... use an rb20 box, fits in std shifter hole... i didnt and learned the hard way... put engine and gearbox in at the same time bolted together, not much room in the tunnel... if you aint good with wiring get someone else to do it, i didnt have any trouble but i am qualified mechanic....lol as much as i hate sayin this, look on boostcruising for a motor *cringes for fear of taunting*
  21. car is now a track only beast! things on my list include full rollcage, bucket seat, straight through exhaust, management and so many other things lol front suspension is in and ready to be aligned i also got front and rear strut braces off a mates ke70 he is wrecking (check my topics) need to get some custom rear springs made as the kingys ive got wont sit at the right height...does anyone on here do rollcage fabrication btw?

  23. hey nice ae92 mate my missus has a red one and i put pedders comfort gas shocks all round with low king springs and it handles awesome! it does scrape over every speed bump tho

  25. the t-18 diff is now for sale as i now have ae86 lsd rear end, custom front coilovers using all ae86 struts and hubs etc... dbc brakes all round and whiteline adjustable front and rear swaybars here are some pics...
