ok just bought a t18 diff off some dude on ae86dc for 250 dissassembled so i now need an lsd centre for it... also getting from him front suspension off his ae86 :lol: car is stripped down being sanded back for paint atm will post pics soon

yeh its my mates ke70... 4age 20vst autronic ecu... cusco lsd adjustable everything coilovers etc... awesome ke70... might be up for sale soon :y:

is it missfiring? if so check all ignition components and also injectors, fuel pressure etc... you say you are a car noob so you prob wont know if its an electrical miss or not.... if not could be blocked cat/ exhaust component... remove exhaust upstream of cat and go for a drive (somewhere cops arent!) so many possibilities need more info... best off for you to pay someone to look at it

hey mate i used rb30 mounts on a ae71 x member... not sure if the member was modified cos i got it out of my mates ke70 with ca conversion... doesnt look modified tho

ok so big update... i went to the dyno and he said come back at 11 so i went to repco and the car died... after a few hours of searching and a tow, i found the 12v ignition source for the ecu shorting on the head... patched it up and all ok but no dyno :hmm: ... so now i have "the lemon :y: " i am taking the ae71 off the road for.... t series diff with LSD, full coilover suspension with camber tops, new exhaust, paint, guards (from terry), and cough... mod plate... cough cough hopefully... or i might sell it, for the right offer but I'm gona keep goin on it until someone offers me what i want.. anyway il keep this updated as things happen

hey mate... to chack the bearings... jack the car up at the back and chock the front wheels... take the handbrake off and spin the rear wheels on both sides and listen for the noise... if you can't hear it... take the drum off, take out the 4 allen key bolts through the holes in the axle... once they are out put the drum on backwards on the axle and loosely fit 2 wheel nuts to 2 opposing studs... yank on the drum as hard as possible until the axle comes out... then you will be able to take the outer race off the bearing and inspect it for hotspots etc... do this on both sides and if you can't see anything it could be gearset ( crownwheel/pinion ) noise or side gear bearing noise in which case just buy a new diff... hope this helps... btw if you need to do bearings you will need a press

hey all just bought this on ebay last night for 1125 bucks! fully mod plated 4AGE 20V silvertop 112fwhp... sard fuel reg 2.5 inch exhaust pod, surge tank bosch main pump and carby lift pump... ssl king springs and bronze racing rims... only needs front and rear engine mounts and rego and ive got a wicked daily while the ca18 ae71 is off the road doin bodywork, diff, suspension, paint, brakes etc etc list goes on... enjoy!
