By looking at the vin register on RC and doing some maths (gestimating). I believe my car is a November 67 build, ~3rd oldest on here from memory. You could ask Toyota to confirm... but they only care about new cars :P

Spotted this at Bunnings Maddington today, very tidy apart from the little rust in the guards. Spotted this little thing parked out the back of the Kelmscott shops a month or so ago, forgot to post. Very tidy but definitely looks like an oldies daily (ugly hubcaps and side mirrors).

Had to cancel the sparky, couldn't get everything in place for wiring in time :sob: Looking more like March now... but even then that wont be ready to cruise, it has to go back to the panel shop and get a once over before it's joining a cruise.

Just saw this. K & B Motor Trimmers in Kenwick are great and reasonably priced. A million times better than anything I could have done myself with any amount of time :P

Car is off to sparky on Sat, should be done wiring by 14th of Feb. I'll get the bumpers and dash sent off for repairs while this is being done... might make the end of Feb!

Meh, until I can get my door internals fitted and doors hung I'm sorta stuck. I'm not game to do it myself cos I don't wanna damage the paint.... That's where I'm at at the moment. I'm going to send my bumpers and dash off to be repaired. I'll call the auto sparky tomorrow and book her in. So possible but not probable.

:lolcry: well that's one plan! I'm just gunna fix the wiring. See what I can do about the ignition (would be better if it didn't lock) and just chain it up from now on. I have found some engine parts for it on ebay but I don't think its flogged. Hardest bit is getting new plastics.

Lol thanks Trev... I think you have bigger fish to fry :wink: Well I had a walk down to the river at the end of my street this morning. I saw the mirrors from my scooter just of the path so followed the trail down to the river. I have the scooter back but all three locks are busted, several of the plastics are broken and the wiring is all messed up. :bash: I don't know if it's worth fixing, it owes me $1000 but it will cost probably $500ish to fix. Was fun for the 6 days I had it :(

Meh, I doubt I'll get it back in any sort of decent condition. As the guy was just one of the support vehicles for the 2 guys that had my scooter and another bike I doubt the cops can do a thing about it. It's just a scooter, they'll thrash the crap out of it and dump it when they're done.

Hi all, I had a scooter for almost a week... Was stolen about 5-8pm tonight. Not expecting much but thought I'd post it. It's a red TGB Sports scooter, plates 1DH 614. We got the rego of one of the guys involved (reported to the cops and they said they new him), black Barina with plate 1DFG 162. Just thought it would be nice to know his plate is now posted as the scum that he is. Nice way to waste a grand :(

I'm with you Jaygore. I know they have the official donation thing happening but we're all on big family on RC. Any way we can set something up to help out the members who need help? I'm guessing this would be hard to set up and run but thought I'd ask.

Never tried any of those. After reading through this thread thought I'd add a bit.. K motor + Auto = poo SOOO WRONG! - The bit thats poo in your setup is 2 speed, a 2 speed manual would be just as bad. I have always driven Autos (except before I got my license) and have always found them faster off the line than any similar manual (this rules out the toyoglide as no one has a 2 speed manual ;) ). Auto's can be just as fun, if you hold your foot to the floor they will hold the gears as long as you could possibly want. As far as strength goes, I've never had a Toyota gearbox break before the engine did :) I have a 20V 4AGE and I will be putting a 4 speed auto behind it (RWD), I have no doubt it will be faster of the line than the manual equivelant (unless you get a professional driver behind the wheel). One downside I have had, once my Soarer kicked down a gear while I was flat out around a corner... that was messy :P
