  1. Welcome to rolla club, hope you can make it to the nats meet up. We are not a bad bunch on here and there is heaps of info available on this site for the 4K and KE70
  2. I have room for a tent or 2 in my backyard. The Two Sisters Motel in Curtin on Cotter Road at Forest Park ridding school has cheap rooms. Not the best of motels, very basic but cheap. and not very well known unless you are a horse or Rally person so they may have rooms available still.
  3. Hey all, Over Summer Nats the ACT Section of Rolla Club will be having a meet up/BBQ/dinner type thing. This will either be on the Friday night (4th) or Saturday (5th) evening of the Nats. All out of town members are welcome to come along for a feed and meet some of the ACT members for a night of car talk and some BS etc...... Watch the Canberra section for confirmation of date, time and details and if you are coming to Canberra for the nats send me a PM so I can also forward details to you.

  10. You will need to talk to me about this at a rolla club meeting or PM me your contact details as there is alot of info you need to know about the laws on these bikes etc.... as for the Pocket Bike Club it is no longer due to a number of issues.
  11. Sorry guys time I step in and moderate this a bit. Please keep it clean and on topic.
  12. Welcome to rolla club :) Maybe we may see some of the TOC guys at our meetings as well? We are looking at a meet up over the nats weekend if you are interested.
  13. I am sure we will be able to find transport for you :)
  14. As Thomo said it depends on who wants them and if that type/style of wheel is in demand. When we were building lots of box trailers before moving to the specialised trailer market we used to buy used 15" Commodore chasers and 15" Falcon rims for $5 a rim, at the time they were selling to public of the street for $45-$50a rim. We also got brand new Mazda 3 rims (15" suit ford hub) for $4.50 a rim from the same place and they sold to public for $60 a rim. Thing is now due to steel shortage they are worth more to a wrecker as scrap metal rather then have them sitting around for a few weeks. I now buy new wheels from ROH delivered cheaper then what you can get used ones for from a wrecker. Wreckers will ask as much as people will pay and that is just business as they have bills to pay as well.
  15. Hey guys........ we are just after members to give idea's first then go from there. I have not really asked Thomo if we can be there yet as was just putting an example of an idea up. If we were to go this way then it would depend on when Thomo is free and if he wants us there. If we were to go to Thomo's then we would need to all put in for his food/drink as he should not have to open his doors for us for nothing. Also we need to take into acount that his kids are number 1 at this time and as always they and the time he gets to spend with them will come first. I agree that going to the cotter maybe to far for some taking into acount we want to attract some of the out of town club members as well. But as I have said before if you say you are coming then come if not don't say that you will as we will not do this if only 3 or 4 members are going to show up. I will post up a poll for members to vote on next week as well as call for numbers at the same time.

It will happen mate, the business is working out for you will find her mate. Just let it happen and she will come by when yo least expect it. A good vent is needed from time to time so go for it mate.
  21. I don't mind taking a portable BBQ down to Thomo's if he is up to the idea. But as said before if we are to do something then we need people to turn up and not just say they will.
  22. Ok it has been talked about at meetings and on this forum. Now if we go ahead and organise it will people turn up? The idea will be to meet up over the Nat's weekend and invite visiting members from other states as well. We could meet at Thomo's in Hume for a BBQ and photo's then off to Bradden etc..... We could meet at Macca's Dickson for a feed then head to Bradden or whatever...... Meet for a feed then go for photo's the cruise......... If you want to do something then post your idea's here, but you will need to be a part of it as well.
  23. I think cos no one has been posting or showing interest of late........ :) Only the same few turn up to meetings and no one seems to want to cruise or get together............. If Geoff or myself ask members for idea's to get us all out and together no one responds or if we suggest something they seem keen until just before it is to happen. Problem is that most of our members are building cars or have no time or money and that is not there fault, just a sign of the times. Region Leaders, moderators and Admin can not do it all as they also have commitments as well so the load needs to be shared a bit around the members to help get things done and off the ground.
  24. Thanks for the Pizza Thomo :y: Ok we can have a brake now until Feb 07 as some of us may go away (some may not). Only thing I would like to do is arrange a meeting over the Nats weekend, maybe at Thomo's workshop and try get any interstate members to join us for a BBQ or something.
  25. So what has everyone got planned over the X-Mas period? We will be staying about taking it easy and getting our rally car ready for 2007. Maybe all us poor broke people that have to stay in Canberra can get together for a BBQ and a few drinks.
