  1. Not having a flat surface OR car stands to be able to put in different struts into the Falcon and to do the front uni.. Desperately need to do these items to give me a hope in Hades of getting the bus on the road sometime soon.
  2. Just read it. They're not wrong! No-feel driving.. It's how idiots get their licenses.. Wonder how people would go driving a REAL car that didn't have a bunch of electronic controls to correct any poor skills behind the wheel.. Toyota need to remove the drive by wire system.. It may be the 'way forward' but if its of any safety concern and makes driving a car feel 'wrong' then scrap it and go back to a cable.. What was wrong with them in the first place? ;)
  3. My EB Falcon, for a car that has done 331xxxkms drives beautifully, and is most definately not a shitbox ;)
  4. Installed new primary handbrake cable myself ;) Brought second hand front struts for $70 a pair, installing in the next week or so. Only need to change the front uni, windscreen, and then fix the temp sensor as it's flooding the injectors and fouling the plugs a bit. Good fun :D
  5. Update! Stereo wired in! (subwoofer is up for sale!) Going in Friday for major service and roadworthy inspection. Will only need a screen and handbrake cable :D
  6. Tires went on.. $300 for a set of four :y: Stupid dope at the service centre said "oh, you're front shocks are leaking".. "Ah.. They are weeping. Not leaking. Mechanic told me he'll still pass them through the roadworthy no fuss" "Oh, just thought i'd tell you" More like just thought i'd try suck more money from you.. Next weekend doing the brakes and taking the car in for a RWC  Vacummed the car out and found some tools.. SCORE :( Drives rather well.. Better still when it's serviced!
  7. Not much of an update really, but: Sorted out the Central Locking, was ONE wire that wasn't on correctly... Got the unregistered vehicle permit from VicRoads.. Yay for them.. Figured out the stereo wiring ;) Got free rear brake rotors, and Monday picking up full set of pads for $40 :) Saturday the car goes into Bob Jane for new tires and wheel alignment Then from there to the mechanic for a full service and tune Then down to a mates place to replace the brakes (drives okay, but won't pass a roadworthy) Have to organize a windscreen.. Where should i go?? Suggestions? Then to get the RWC. Shouldn't need anything else really.
  8. Thanks! I'll yank the door trims off tomorrow and have a look-see
  9. That's me :lolcry: Well.. seeing at the camera doesn't like me, it may be a little longer before pics are up. Managed to clean the mould and grime from most of the car and cleaned out the interior today. Came up nicely. Need a new parcel shelf cover and to have a look at the wiring for the door locks.. Can't lock the doors with the battery in from the drivers side, they decide to flick back up every time. Can lock from the passenger side though... Ah well. Good fun =] Tomorrow to arrange new tyres and a vicroads permit :jamie:
  10. I NEVER thought i would fall to the dark side.. But temptation reigned supreme.. Along with a minor price to pay =] 1993 EBII Ford Falcon GLi Silver (with a white bonnet) Alloys Air Con (works a charm) Cruise Control 4.0i Multi-point injected engine New Alternator New Radiator Tow pack Radio was chopped by third last owner :lolcry: All this for a meager $200 =] My plans.. Get it on the road (new tires, screen, rear brake rotors and handbrake adjustment) and then respray the bonnet silver, install a good stereo and then get my P's in April Pics up Tomorrow after i take them! =]
  11. If you're reading this sober now, mate i'd suggest heading to the emergency department. They may be a little more cluey as to your problem, and heck, they will at least run tests to possibly rule out anything major. Good luck though! WGMG - Christmas. f@$king over it. Just couldn't care less this year. Call me scrooge, but after this year.. Father narrowly escaping with his life from illness and now my mother has been in and out of hospital with severe illness. I just don't care about the food, the presents OR the shitty f@$king music in the shops, not to mention the shit traffic and stupid whinging little f@$kers in the shops saying "Mummy, buy me this, buy me that" How about understand what Christmas is about you little slimy f@$king turd and get over your spoilt little self before i drop-kick you and your fat-arsed f@$king family into space.... I think my gears just munched a few teeth..
  12. VTEC Kicked in a BIT too hard :)
  13. Oh don't worry we were, plus we have a family history of heart attacks, so we made that known as well.. The hospital is just hopeless though.. We don't know how much longer she has with these problems (she has a weakened immune system to poor treatment of a drug allergy many years ago). I've dealt with hospitals all my life (heart patient) alongside having my father almost die this year (trigeminal neuralga, fixed at Box Hill) but Mum is too weak to take that far. Sadly, we don't have ambulance cover, another mistake on our part. I just want my mum back :locked:
  14. Should have thought that through a little better :locked: WGMG.. Maroondah Hospital. My mum has Cytomegalovirus (the non-herpes version), Glandular Fever, Pneumonia AND Anemia.. Even WITH a phone call ahead from our GP, we waited 6 1/2 hours in the emergency room, only to be told there would be another 6 hour wait.. So we took her home to rest instead (she has been bed-ridden for six weeks now, and i'd never seen mum have a day in bed before this) We're going to a different hospital this afternoon for her, but if that's no better, may just ring an ambulance to prove how ill she is..
  15. My god.. How are people so incredibly stupid? Ah... Epic Fail...
  16. WGMG - Bleach burn.. My hands are f@$ked from this industrial bleach shit i had to use today.. the tips arent too bad.. but the rest of my hands and under my fingernails are red and burning incredibly bad. Time to head to hospital. Oww..
  17. What a legend :) Ah Teddy, you have some awesome contacts ;)
  18. "But i swear to god uleh this car stops when you go uphill!" Perhaps a pic of the f@$ked front end may show how well she stops :) "The fronts work a treat!"
  19. Aw so cute :y:
  20. WGMG - Possums.. If those little bastards can't tell that footy-boot wearing season is over.. surely we have the right to remove not only their boots, but them, from the roof. We have a flat iron roof and it sounds like it's about to cave in half the time with those fat f@$ks running a muck up there.. What's worse is that the heat has made them move aggressive at night and they have the tendency to scare the shit out of you if you happen to be out there.
  21. WGMG: New 'no u-turn' rule.. would have come in handy today to be able to do a u-turn.. had to drive for an extra half an hour because i couldnt.. FML..
  22. Someone's clever :S
  23. More than that.. But not to worry, brought 1kg of it just before :S
  24. I'm only suggesting that JiP stretch gently to test to see how his scar is healing, it's simply seeing how tight the skin is bonding together and it will be an indicator of when normal physical training can resume, without running the risk of ripping his scar apart.
  25. Try doing both, i only weigh 157lbs and can do 18 pull ups and 4x11 with 180lbs on the lat pulldowns now. The only way to stimulate growth and strength is changing it up and keeping your muscles guessing. Also the best form of releasing growth hormone in large quantities is through weighted squats, my strength and overall endurance has really increased since i began doing them only a month ago.
