Hey 4ages, the current intake may look strange but the old one that was originally in there was DODGEY AS. the one thats on there now is a vast improvement. Now U can put a pod filter onn there FULLY SIK Uleh. Murderess, his mess isnt under the dash, its under the bonnet. re wire ahoy. 4K is at home and safe now :y drove to murray bridge where me mate lives,checked out his shed (hyundai excel powered go cart, 2 door roofless HZ, Home made hotrod. he had the 4k on the engine crane so i checked it out and was satisfied. took the intake, exhaust manifolds, alternator and dizzy cap off and it slid right into the boot of the 25. drove back to adelaide with no boot lid and a 4k pokin out ;). (twin engined rolla) spent lastnight and an hour or 3 of today taking things off and cleaning them up and it doesnt leak oil like th 3K YES :cool: . just need to swap a few things over from the 3K like the polished rocker cover, thermostat housing, intake manifold (3K no emissions) and alternator bracket. will be either selling as a whole or parting out the 3K, more details in the for sale thread. Corolln, motors yours when I'm done. what colors the 30? have a feelin ive seen ya before on south road, ya might see me fangin round from time to time but I'm workin down at hindmarsh so not spendin much time during the day around the southerns burbs. oh and make sure its a carton of westend or tooheys :dance: CHEERS Ryan

Always glad to help. Its really come along way. main things id be doing would be checkin the clearance between the starter solenoid and the stractors as theres bugger all clearance and see if theres a way to get the stractors not rubbing on the gearbox cross member. Sounded tough with that exhaust leak tho. Whats a center console woth from the wreckers as it mightnt be a bad idea for mine. bugger bout that fuse tho, but at least you can't scare yourself any more :cool: CHEERS Ryan

Well I'm picking up the 4k tomorrow, driving from murray bridge back to woodcroft with a 4k in the boot of the 25 :cool: . when i get rid of the 4k i'll be asking either $50 or a carton of beer. first person to come up with either of these will be the owner of a 4k. Its yours if your the first with either of the above. Also parting out a 3k. PM if interested in either of above motors not making a for sale thread, just another thing to check. CHEERS Ryan

OK, pick up for the 4K is being arranged as we speak, or type or whatever ur doing. clutch going when the 4k does so no more slippin in a 5 gears + reverse :rocknroll:. quick EOI, anyone wanna cheap 4K when i get my 5k in? still a lil while off but wanna get everything cleared asap after I'm done with it. Do ya have the dimensions for the BW spring locker i might maek one and use it if i swap the diff or see if some one wants to ba a ginny pig (<<dunno how its spelt). CHEERS Ryan

hey people, I'm interested aswel, I'm currently in a fitting and turning apprenticeship and would be keen to make one of these AND best of all i work at a spring makers so testing new springs would be very simple. Some one had a CAD drawring of one of theses in the LSD thread, if i can get a technical drawring (old skool) with all dimensions i could make one of these in my not so busy time in maybe a week or two. also is there any difference in what would be needed to fit one into a KE25 jap diff? Cheers Charls, yea i like the finished product, just a couple things need to be tidied up a bit (top passenger side). might do the fronts soon, got plently more of that material. i got 2.5 meter long section and its about 1.5meters wide. only needed 1ml ong section for the back so plenty for the fronts. but its my daily driver and i do stuff when i get time.keep lookin now and again for my changes and upgrades. hopefully puttin in the 4k either on the weekend or next week, only untill i setup the turbo on the 5k. fun times ahead CHEERS Ryan

yeah a guy died just a couple of weeks ago round the corner from my joint. was at an intersection were the road comes down a hill, levels out for the intersection and contiues down hill. he was flyin down the road, leveled out on the intersection and got air off the other side, hit the road, ran off the road and died instantly. he was coming home from getting his dog a t-bone. he was just 17 only a bit older than me so it is sorta a reality hit but he was alone and noone was makin him do it. If you havent alredy done so, remember to hook up the wires for the auto gearbox lockout switch or you'll be goin nowhere real quick :y CHEERS Ryan

the 'oil' you describe, could it possibly be the water vapor that the engine makes mixed with the carbon deposits? if it is running rich the exhaust system usually has a fair bit of carbon inside so it could be a possibility. CHEERS Ryan

I did the trim on the rear panels today. i left the pockets out as the backseat doesnt really get used and they'll end up being used as other peoples bins. Pics are as follows; Originals, with pockets and speakers hacked in. masonite i used. polyester wadding for behind the fabric. Black cotton farbric for the trim. CHEERS Ryan

you could leave the setup as is and just get a riser plate made up that goes between the turbo inlet and exhaust manifold so that the wastegate actuator can clear the dizzy. just watch out for the bonnet clearance. CHEERS Ryan
