  1. Jaycar would be the place id be going to for switches here are a few. Minature Reed switch, smaller than a $2 coin. would suggest use with a relay. Part# SM-1002 $1.50. Alls switches below areReed Switch and Magnet Assembly (include both switch and magnet),same as the ones used on security systems on dors and windows, closed circuit while near magnet (ideal for your situation) Part# LA-5072 $4.95 (std size, same as used in security systems) Part# LA-5070 $6.95 (has both normally open and closed terminals) part# LA-5074 $7.25 (minature, good for hiding under carpet) Goto the Jaycar website: www.jaycar.com.au and type in the part numbers in the searh box to see pics. Hope this info helps CHEERS Ryan
  2. Do u mean make sure u can undo the plug to fill it. because if you dump the oil then find out u can't open the filler your going to have a hard time filling it back up :hmm: CHEERS Ryan
  3. Which car man? i only paid 200 for the corolla. the tonner cost a wee bit more than that :y:. i'll eventualy get a pic of the drivers side and you might change your opinion of the corolla. Raven can confirm this. :hmm: CHEERS Ryan
  4. and heres a pic of my other ride. i put it up just beacuse i could :hmm: CHEERS Ryan
  5. OK, finally got a a couple of pics to share with you lot. Just a pic of the front end with the new grille and to make Raven happy again a pic of my new seats installed. CHEERS Ryan
  6. might see if i can come and check your beasty if I'm ever down that way. looken good kep us posted to whats goin on. CHEERS Ryan
  7. Yea thats not a bad idea ay? stealth starter. you could just use an ordinary toggle switch and mount it somewhere hidden for "theft prevention". hey at least you will have most of the wiring work already done. CHEERS Ryan
  8. HEy Charl. Where in Adelaide are you?? CHEERS Ryan
  9. OK last night swapped the brake pads over using a mix and match of pads some off a pair of calipers i bought and some that were already in the caliper. just used the beast of what i had. will need to bleed rear brakes as i think thers some air in the rear lines. at the moment i have to pump the peddle once or twice to get up a decent amound of pressure to stop decently. maybe a friday job. Also whats a decent brand and price for diff oil? (leaky diff seals):hmm: CHEERS Ryan
  10. Yep thats the one, drivin round the Seaford carpark with the boot lid up, sound up and strobes goin. FULLY SIK ULEH (not really) :hmm: CHEERS RYAN
  11. hey mate. Same thing happened to me with the carb, as soon as you drop it back to idle it just dies. I blew the carb out and put it back on, started up perfectly and got about 3/4 way home (christies to woodcroft) and things just got worse like backfiring, smoking, poping etc. i think i was probably the idle jets but i just swapped carbs from a 3k-h if i remeber correct. but toy around with it and you might get it goin again, you might not. if you get a carb from u-pull-it take a toolbox and sit it in the toolbox upright, and 9 times outta 10 they think its only a single barrel carb so you get it a bit cheaper. :hmm: Oh and theres no more KE25 at Lonsdale U-pull-it :y: CHEERS Ryan
  12. yea no probs mate. Which shifter are you talkin abou manual or auto? shouldnt need to pull either of the shifters apart. as on the manual the reverse wires exit thru the side of the box.as i recal there are about 3 pairs of wires coming from the box (again FAQ is your friend) and sorting which is the starter circuit wires and reverse wires are another case of trial and error. CHEERS Ryan
  13. Hey Lesley, Too tru bout the barbie reference. (reverse parkin) As i left from Seaford i went back to check out some of the other cars and when i got back out on the road i was sitting infront of a commo and behind that i see an undercover cop car flashin his lights. I'm sittin there shittin myself but he pulled the commo sittin behind me. i went bac to have a look because I'm a nosey lil bugger. that was when i realised it was an undercover car, he was defecting this commo just outside the maccas less than 100m from where we came out of the car park. UNDERCOVER CARS now tell me thats not the cops targeting the event to get their quota. Overall it was a good cruise, not too much hooning. TOO MANY R31's. Not enough corollas. 1 Too many posers (silver supra, Lesley and Raven knows the one) and people not knowing how to spell REAPER. but thats just my 2c BRING ON THE NEXT ONE CHEERS Ryan
  14. I havent dealt with auto trans before, so from what i know from manual boxes there should be 2 wires for the reverse lights and 2 wires for the park switch. Possibly connect both wires from each pair of wires together (one pair at a time) and by proccess of elimination you should find which pair is the park switch wires.the worst i can see happening is turnin on your revesing lights. just remember to hook the other pair of wires up to the reverse switch on the manual box (goto the FAQ for where the reverse switch is) CHEERS Ryan
  15. Well, people. looks like the 25 will eventually have a turbo 5k sittin between the rails as i've been offered a complete runner minus turbo for about 200. it comes with a turbo head, decomp plate, 2 track cams, street cam and std. head. So I'm gonna set up the turbo on the 3k and then when i get it right i'll swap it over to the 5k while its outta the car. while i swap it over i might put another 4k off a mate in it so i can still get around. and eventually part out the 3k and sell the 4k. got some pics just need to upload them off the cam. CHEERS Ryan
  16. does anybody know if its harder or easier to do a car with a satin paint job? CHEERS Ryan
  17. wasnt at the north meet. the main area was out back of west lakes, round near motorquipe. CHEERS Ryan
  18. OK, got the new brake lines in yesterday went ok apart from needing a new threaded part that goes on the end of the hard line as the thread was rooted. bled brakes for the first time, dam hose exploded off the bleed nipple and got sprayed, NOT GOOD. got it all done just in time to goto the megacruise. swapped tyres front and rear as they are different profiles so now the front wheels don't scuff as much inside the wheel arch. calipers and rotors will go in sometime in the next week. pics comin soon. CHEERS Ryan
  19. Yeah already got KE30 brakes on there atm, just got a pair of calipers and rotors for $32.50 of madmax7. scored the brake lines as a toolbox special from U-PULL-IT when i got a VL fuel pump for when Boris eventually goes into turbo guise. Yeah doin it yurself definatly saves shit loads, 32.30+$10 for brake fluid and $10 for a brake bleedin kit= $52.20 when compared to $836 i think the difference is a little more that a shit load :( CHEERS Ryan
  20. will do, Got a quote to do the brakes form ABS. rotors need replacing, pads, overhaul calipers and replace flexible brake lines as one is bout to go pop. they want $836 for the above work and labour. got near new brake lines yesterday replacin them tomorrow.will eventualy get all the parts i need for alot cheaper. will get pics of what i done and the seats and a few more of the car. CHEERS Ryan
  21. nah it seems like I'm sitting a little bit lower. but anyway, they comfy and better lookin than the last ones. :( CHEERS Ryan
  22. yeah, will do. were all in and installed within an hour of pickin them up. VERY NICE and comfy. beats collapsed seats anyday :( CHEERS Ryan

  24. So, i take it as meet at either meet point at 7pm. this cruise should be better as my clutch is almost nonexistant and theres no hills so i should be able to keep up. CHEERS Ryan
  25. Yeah what Tally said^^^ if we can get enough members come we could have a rolla only meet/cruise. i rocked up a bit late and was only there for about 5 mins before the group left. there was only 2 pre *E7* rollas on at the meet (none of them finished the cruise tho) need more earlier rollas on the next one. So Tally, U've seen my 25, hopefully you'll have yours out next time. CHEERS Ryan
