  1. Have you considered the ls1 coil pack conversion? Very neat build mate, a new computer could really show some insane numbers.
  2. Yeah, still got it. Selling it now. Was a pretty wild car. The t5's aren't the best but to be cost effective i think i'll rebuild the current box stronger. Can't wait to get started on this thing, will be good to really bring one of these motors out of their poorly tuned factory state without boost. Its good having such a good tuner (bruce heinrich) working along with me.
  3. Yeah this one brings uP the ponies as soon as that clutch engages. Can feel the torque straight awa and its nice comfy and smooth for daily duties. Very happy. But as you said, dad has the auto and this deffinetly has more on the launch but i think dads has more on the roll.
  4. The zf 6 speed auto would be my first choice but when a t5 in this colour/price comes your way you don't say no. Will need a rip shift for those preciohs microseconds On gear changes though
  5. Hey guys. This is my whip. Ford BA Falcon MKII XR6 5 Speed Manual Leather Optioned 18" Alloys Mods: Twin Tips (that's it) Been speaking to my tuner.. LOoking at above 180rwkw without opening it up. This is to be my daily for now. The idea is to run a 13.75 or better to be the fastest na bseries 6.
  6. Free shipping. That's not too shabby.
  7. I beg to differ. Just ask Suspect off of boosted falcon. Dales been through about 5 of em. Love the EA-ED man. Good luck with it. My mate has a eb with a gt kit and a r32 gtr front bar...looks tuff as.
  8. Ahh, fair enough. I was gonna go boosted but I can't be bothered forking out to get it engineered and I don't want to get defected. Snort do some good kits for fairly decent prices. 200rwkw's is easily attainable.
  9. I have one in mine. Can't drive without it. Mines always set on low...crank it up and it chirps hard into second and sometimes third. Can be harsh for daily commuting though (stop - start). To put it to good use though you're gonna want to have a xr6 diff minimum. I can't remember if you said you were putting a cam in or not. My next donk will probably sport the wade 977b in a S1 AU motor, I find the 1673 is pretty decent for daily driving.
  10. Tuffff! Similar to what I wanna build but with less sr20 and more ca18
  11. Nah, but you will need to use a J3 chip so the ecu recognizes that it no longer needs to change gears. With the xr6t intake i'm pretty sure you need to remove the rubber on the bonnet above the snorkel..Doesn't change much. Try get some pacemaker comps and a nice 2.5" exhaust if you can swing it. The intech motors sound great with a decent exhaust system. I wish I got the pacemaker comps instead of the advance headers. Lemme know if you need any info on anything, i've basically replaced or modified just about everything you possibly can.
  12. Was thinkin more ca18. But I didn't really think about the K motors lol.
  13. This guys got a good driving style...all over the joint...my god is he quick though.
  14. Alright, I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents. 1. Tyre choice - You're gonna wanna get something half decent, otherwise you'll just understeer and with enough power there wont be enough grip to hold the slide. On the front a good fit is reccomended try not to stretch the tyre wall on the front...the flex will help with grip. Run a lower pressure. On the back strech the sidewall, sidewall flex will work against you also run a higher pressure to further avoid flex. 2. Suspension - Low is good, the closer to the ground you are, the lower your centre of gravity. Stiffer up front than the rear. A bit of roll in the ass will help to throw that back end out, especially if you don't have an abundance of power. 3. Engine - Another misconception in drift is that you need huge ammounts of power to drift (sure if you're planning on competing with Jake Jones or Beau Yates). Wrong, in a light car like a corolla, if you can pull over 100rwkw's you're well on your way. Cam - You don't need anything too extravagant, just something to make power higher in the rev range. Carby - Webber....enough said Exhaust - Nice freeflowing, mild steel will do...try to get a straight through muffler. Turbo - If your budget stretches that far, you could probably J-pipe a small turbo on...Don't expect to make too much boost but it all helps. Radiator - Make sure your cooling system is reliable...You're gonna need a good one. 4. Diff - Locker, 4.11's if you aint planning on driving it on tshe road, maybe 3.9's. Lsd's just don't hack it as LSD's will not always turn both wheels. 5. Steering - More lock 6. A manual - Much easier if you've got a clutch to pop and you can select gears on demand. 7. A hydro handbrake Please don't scold me if something doesn't make sense, I'm suffering insomnia it seems and haven't slept yet. Tips on actually drifting. Probably the most important part of the slide is the initial approach. The entry into a corner is where you'll spin or understeer 90% of the time. Entry speed is very important, it will take you alot of practice to determine the correct speed to enter a corner at. The way I learnt and the way I found the easiest is to clutch kick. Head into the corner at below race speed. Clutch in...Revs up...Pop the clutch and really throw the car into the corner, hold that hammer down! (The reason for entering the corner below race speed is because, as soon as that clutch engages you're gonna start picking up speed). Once you've got your angle, counter steer..if you have enough angle the car will bassically do this for you. (very hard to explain off the top of my head) you will have to use your throttle to steer the car from here, mind you grab the wheel as you may need to adjust slightly...it's all about feel (experience will help you with this). The other way to get sideways is to handbrake. You'll need to enter the corner at above race speed (as soon as you yank the handbrake and the wheels lock up you're gonna lose alot of speed). Bassically the same theory, chuck the wheel in the direction you wanna go, counter steer, pop the clutch and let loose on those back tyres. Drifting ain't cheap, there's no way around that.
  15. Paid 6k. Cemetery...dunno was just driving past and my mate wanted to try out his new camera phone. I've been considering a manny conversion. Will decide in the new year as I'm on the verge of selling up and buying a 34 or a XR6T. Projects start to shit you like that. It also got ass ended a few days ago...nothing major but still irritating as now it has to go in and get a new rear bar, lip, and exhaust fixed. Upside is that the towbar will come off and there will be no hole and a fresh paint job.
  16. Haven't been on for ages now. Thought I'd show ya's what I've been up to... Still sourcing up a track ksev though. Bassically 1995 EF Fairmont 3.45 LSD 3" Stainless steel Air intake K&N pod with heat sheild Ajustable Shiftkit 2.5" Cat-back with highflow cat (mandrel bends) Advance headers Wade 1736 J3 18" Speedy Graphites Tickford kit Lowered on KYB's and kingy's (on stock springs atm) Bruce guesses around 145rwkw's Plan is to get it on the quarter mile soonish. Aim of the entire car is to one day pull a high 13 NA
  17. I drive a falcoon.
  18. Seeing as you sell a car every week can you get some pics?
  19. You wish bud. They're coming with me.
  20. This car managed to make my wallpaper. Those tail lights look awesome. So clean and fresh.
  21. A guy at work today asked for a Chicken fillet sub in the drive through. He ended up with crab meat, capsicun (spelling?), cucumber, tomato and mayonaise.
  22. Yeah I was a bit scattered when I posted the original thread. Practice doesn't start till 12.30 so it's pretty pointless turning up at 11. I wont be there until about 1.30ish
  23. Sorry. I forgot about them. Yeah this Saturday. Gates open at 11.
  24. When I read the title of this thread I expected to see a commy.
  25. Who's coming? I will be there again sitting along the main straight. As usual I'll be gunning for Jake Jones. Weather forcast looks pretty decent.
