  1. Thanks ,yes i have looked but can't seem to find out if i still use the original coil with resistor or not? What i seen that original one is not correct . :) Thinking of getting one off some think that has electic dizzy in it like a old corona or simalar. Thanks for the head up on the wires and welcome to rollaclub rob :y:
  2. Picked up a nippon denso electronic distributor ,with internal ignitor. What i need to no is what sort of coil do i run with it,brand and numbers would be helpful. Also there is two wires coming out of it ,one black, and one black with orange tracer on it  . Thanks inadvance rob
  3. Coming along great corey ,have you got hydraulic hand brake in yet?. Will make it unreal for motorkhanas with the locked diff also need to dail in a bit negative camber. As they tend under steer bad with a locker. I put about 25mm in lower control arm should make a huge differance. Hydraulic hand brake master cylinder i used PBK P4872 and built the rest. Keep up the good work mate :)
  4. Yes i think that autos did come with a lower ratio not sure what. But if its been changed to a 4 speed (k40) they are hopeless on hiway. Rev like crazy at 100 kms ,5 speed much better option. I would check what ratio the diff is first ,most manuals are 4.11. rob
  5. Having problems i think my cam timing is out,can only get it to run smooth at about 20 degress advanced. Its mildish 4k with tighe 154 grind cam webers etc The harmonic balancer has three marks on it for some reason two on outer edge and one on the inside edge of the pulley :jamie: Whats the best way to check it with out pulling it a part ? thanks inadvance rob :P
  6. Can any one recommend a good diff conversion place. Just need ke mounts welded on to ra40 housing ,all old mounting removed.Any idea of cost? :P thanks in advance rob :P
  7. hi no i didnt measure the lengh of the 55 struts. Not sure what you mean? Maybe i could get a wheel alignment to try dial it out. Rca s where would you find them are they the same as ae86? Why do they cut the 40 mm out of them, the strut that is when puting coil over sleaves on. rob
  8. Can any one solve my problem, converted xt130 struts to coil over with weld on sleeves. I didnt shorten the strut as i wanted to use oem inserts.Didnt want to lower ride height. As its khana car mostly dirt. Now i have bump steering monster. I should of mentioned its ke55 ,spring rate 150lb . Any ideas thanks rob
  9. hi can i remove charcoal canister ,and vent my fuel tank at the back of car some how? :P Remember its a club car not registered, don't use any of the other lines that came out of it. Running side draft weber and battery is in the boot so its really just siting there do buggar all,its a 55 hard top. thanks rob
  10. weber ,extractors exhaust, faq ,good reading :fuzz:
  11. Also i wouldnt worry disconnecting the brake line to pull the strut out just carefully pull the clip off the strut and CAREFULLY hack saw one side of the retainer so you can bend it enough to get the brake line out. Then tie the caliper and brake lines up with a small bit of tie wire so you are not stretching any thing, then you can remove strut with out disconecting the brakes. This may be fround on but saves a lot of stuffing around. rob :fuzz:
  12. I don't no about soaking your caliper in fuel is such a great idea, fuel and rubber seals don't mix.If you can get a spray can of product called yield ,its in a gold can this stuff is the best i have seen.Spray around the bleeders and let soak for a few minutes usually works. Then if you get them out clean up threads put some nickel anti seize or similar on the treads never snap them off again. This what we use on dozer tracks and earth moving gear and you can always undo them. rob
  13. I second the eclip ,there should be a rubber grommet in to fire wall then a large flat washer then the e clip.Which clips on the outer cable.Eclips can be found at repco or super cheap on those champion bolt stands the spin around ones. But you have to buy a assortment pack.I had to buy some yesterday there is one in there that fits perfect. :fuzz: hope this helps .
  14. Thanks guys will try some of these,i tryed some new environment friendly degreaser it was rubbish. Environmentally friendly is code for it doesnt work that great, unless you use 10 times the amount. thanks again rob
