  1. You can also use a 5k or 7k electonic distubutor ,with a adaptor plate {a spacer really} .With the 4age drive on it . But + 1 for hyper pak easy as ,check epay as they are on there. got to go drink some more beer. rob
  2. Thanks trev ,i will try it with 36 s see how it works :) cheers rob
  3. Can any one give me venturi (choke) size there running on there 4ages.I have 45 dcoes ,just a bass line setting to get it running. From what i can work out 36mm ventures,145 main ,f16 e tubes,200 air corrector.idle ?? Just till i get it to the dyno .But the closer i can get it the better. Am i close ?? cheers rob
  4. Sounds like you have a vacum leak on one carby ,replace soft mounts and even the manifold gasket. Then as taz said get it on a dyno ,its the only way to do them and well worth the money. It will be the only way to ever get the best out of them. Because the first thing the dyno guy will check is vacum leaks. rob
  5. Make one your self ,find out how thick it has to be ,five holes including the shifter and mounting bolts . Why didnt you get the spacer plate with it  sure its a short shift ?? rob
  6. For electric fuel pumps ,regulators etc try nardek in sydney. rob
  7. Cons; hard to find and heavy conpaired to 4age. rob
  8. Yes id have to agree with tojo ,there not a bad engine the old 3tc lots of potential just a bit on the heavy side. LOL 3.50 a gallon. We pay around 1.30 a litre (5.85) a gallon :hmm: rob
  9. Hi just out of interest how much do you pay for fuel over there?? welcome to rollaclub rob
  10. If its your first rally car i would look at a bolt in ,because chances are you will have a excustion in to the forest at some time. Not putting a mocker on you but ive seen it happen a lot. Then with a bolt in at least you can transfer it to a new shell. Weld in are the best but you need to get it done by a pro. I think bonds bolt in are around 1300-1400 approx.A mate of mine just got his rex back from bonds ,weld in seam welded, plated etc 8500. But it is a work of art . I would strongly advise not to weld it in your self if you go that path ,because it will be a hassle when it comes to getting it logbooked. I would seam weld strut towers add brace ,reinforce rear spring hangers as well ,then get out there have some fun . rob
  11. What old fella said :) . Been there when cops knock on the door at 4 in the morning ,with a item of clothing to id. The sad thing old fella is that it will happen this weekend and every weekend after :P . don't think it can't happen to you because it can .One moment of stupit shit and you ll pay with, or for the rest of your life. rob
  12. + 1 accelerator pump or linkage to it.
  13. :) Is this not the whisling pig???? true dedication :) .
  14. Hi look in my opinion oil leaks don't get better only worse over time . As far as additives go most are only short term fix ,some are just shit waste of money. If its a old car your trying to get through rego ,id say give it ago. If your going to keep it fix it properly, sump rear main etc. IMHO i wouldnt use them at all but thats me. If oil was suppose to have additives in it, the oil manufactures would have put it in. rob
  15. Thats fairly scary stuff ,when you think about all the sh#t you spray around with out a thought. |blink|
  16. don't have to run disc rear to have hyd handbrake, work very well with drums. As for converting you can convert to t series diff (t18,early corona, etc) Then convert using 141,142 avante rear disc set up ,as it bolts to t series diff. Which I'm doing atm,but using ra40 diff. rob
  17. + 1 For tappet adjustment ,timing chain and tensioner,(fairly common on high milers) Leaking exhaust gasket . Check oil pressure with a gauge.Compression test. rob
  18. Try early falcon seats with ke mounts .xd xf xe.can't remember now exactly. One of them have same spacings as ke s. rob
  19. Not hard to get out ,remove centre consol ,lift up rubber cover remove circlip. Then you can cut ,but all you will have is a short pain in the ass gear stick. Your not going to make it short shift by cutting it. Lot more to making a short shift than that. rob
  20. Has been done ,correct me if I'm wrong 151e built by toyota for racing . Think it was 3k base . Expect to sell your first born to buy one . rob
  21. TA22. Its a T50 but they don't really fit on 4As properly. I seem to remember demuire went though a few input shaft seals (or was it bearings?) on a few TA22 boxes before giving up and buying a 4A T50. Any one confirm this !!!The input shafts look the same to me as well as the bearing. Sorry to hijack thread. I thought it would be a case of changing bell housings over? rob
  22. Well its defently t50 and my guess that its ta22 box ,with a tseries bell housing. The shifter position is perfect fit for a ke30 55,no cutting floor pan. With yours being a auto I'm not sure where the shifter came out of the floor. rob
  23. Yes can still buy new ,got some two weeks ago pn 31232-22010 toyota .total of $6.50 rob
  24. Cam ,carb, compression, exhaust .LET MORE IN GET MORE OUT  phew thats a 100 rob
  25. Surely you'd cut the rear floorpan out of both cars and then fit the Nissan one in the 'rolla?? That would put all your mounts in place with the right reinforcing, you'd just have to match the panels. what he said ,but you would need a lot of skill and no how. I have a mate with a panel shop and builds hot rods and i still shake my head at what these guys can do . rob
