  1. Thanks guys :The tube is not tapered at all (55)and is 80mm od,the 132 tube is 65mm od.Rechecked the uni joints thought i mite get away with swapping two caps to get it together, which looked promiseing ,with both measuring 15 mm id. But the t series uni is 4mm longer :bash: Maybe getting the flange machined on the diff is the only way to go I'm out of ideas. Will ring the drive shaft guys again. I'm trying to keep away from getting a custom tube if possible ,for cost reasons. They told me that if all they have to do is shorten it cost will be minimal and I'm all for that. Just thought id throw it out there to see what others have done as it has been done many times apprently. rob
  2. So ive put a t series diff into my 55 coupe rear discs etc ,The problem i now have is trying to get a drive shaft. I thought i could use the t flange on the 55 shaft then get it shortened, but the uni joints are different. Maybe get a hole new tube built ,but the shaft tubes are 10 or 15mm different in size. Maybe mix and match uni joint caps?? I have plenty of ke55 shafts, and one rt132 two piece shaft (tseries flange) Help :hmm: rob
  3. I guess your talking pajero,i had a mate with one that got hot all the time .He took it back to the dealer (some years after warranty ran out)and was told that they had problems with that model. Replaced temp guauge, themostat, and radiator free of charge :o seemed to fix it,not sure what the problem was though. It was one of the first models with the big dakar front guards not sure what year. Mite be worth a check of there recalls.
  4. Also rt132 coronas and some rt104 coronas, much cheaper to buy corona parts than celica parts .As they don't hit ching key on there cash register :rolls: . Even though they are the same parts bloody wollys :lolcry: rob
  5. Can anyone link or tell me the specs on setting up a t series diff, and also best place to buy a kit to rebuild, are crown wheel and pinions still available?? Thanks rob
  6. Time for compression test.
  7. If you thermostat was stuck closed it would boil its ass off ,as the water flow would be next to zero. May be its stuck open and not letting the water cool down enough before it returns to the engine. I would replace it for the cost of them ,shame you didnt do it when you had the system drained. Then you test the old one by hanging it on a bit of wire, dropping it in to some boiling water see if it opens. rob
  8. How true altezzaclub ,it a real pain to get some where to try out your mods .Wheather they work or not ,and end up trying at the next event. Keep up the good work snot ,you could maybe check out what the stanza boys set up is that would be close to a 70 . rob

  23. You get what you pay for as said prep =time=money etc etc.As you said panels are straight until a painter looks at them . They tend to see thinks that mere mortals don't. I'm lucky as i have a mate with a panel shop and he just shakes his head at my idea of prep and my straight panels.(rubed back with a brick did we) :no2: I would do the prep my self ,then let the painter tell you if its right or not. Watch out for hot rodders as the next day i came back to pick up my car it had big ass stripes all over it ,the boys got pissed and thought they would bling it up a bit. bloody hot rodders :lolcry:
  24. I'm not to stressed about the condition of this motor, just wanted to stop the rattling tappets. By the looks of it are you sure its a tappet rattle ,id be looking at the timing chain . As its looks like a virgin engine thats done lots of work with poor service history. rob
