  1. don't quote me but my 55 xx had velour inserts on the seats ,and map pockets in the door trims. It also had funky xx badges.Other than that i couldnt see much differance.
  2. Could also be the 30 year old ignition switch, but sounds more like your soliniod on the starter.Tryed shorting across the terminals see if turns over. Broken wire??and yes a relay on the starter works very well, more so if your battery is in the boot. rob
  3. Any swap is possible some are just impractical, has been done ,but it would mean a lot fab and reinforceing. Then it would be good in a straight line :lolcry:
  4. Ask for a picture ,it maybe some hot chick :lolcry:
  5. No it will not fit ,well not with out a lot of stuffing around.Better off converting the 55 to hydo not that hard.
  6. You may have set them up with out the carb linkage ,set up with linkage per carb then join together.Like weber ,dellorto type. Make sure the venturis are tight ,bad habit of coming loose and burning the car to ground. rob
  7. Hay trev I got a fridge here I'm not useing its yours if you want it ,its a fridge only ,like a double size bar fridge.Got it for the kids but wasnt needed. Could get it to you when they open the new england hwy, what else do you guys need? rob
  8. Looks like the side band has let go to me ,check the date on them .I would not use them for any think but growing potatoes in. They are gunna go bang. rob
  9. Good luck finding one i allready tryed toyota ,went out of production long ago.The only place that i found one is thru craig at jdm imports. As well sam is right you will pay a good money for it ,but thats just how it is. I looked in to making some thru a foundry down here but the cost of the pattern was huge. rob
  10. Hey phil what about some bigport 4a extractors to ke30 55s seem impossible to buy,as ke70 ones hit the steering arms?? :bash: rob
  11. Sam put me down for one to thanks you have pm rob
  12. Well weberperforance.com.au good guy no,s what he is talking about.3.5 cam no idea what you mean ,but sounds great . Best way dyno with some one who no s what they doing (harder than what you think)many internet x perts. rob
  13. I would be looking for a te30? as i thought you guys only got the t series engines over there?? You would need the front cross member ,convert to hydrauic clutch ,raditor, gear box (t50). We only got k series engine over here so thats why we have to mod cross members etc. But we did get the steering wheel on the correct side :lolcry: rob
  14. Thanks taz ive been looking at carter or maybe a holley .After looking at my old pump found bits of rusty shit in it :bash: . So i cut the fuel filter open and yep its full of shit to,so fuel tank out tommorrow to see how bad it is . I guess its just from leaving it sitting around for a long time between events and using cheap shitty fuel filters. :no2:
  15. Well after a big weekend of motor sport ,and a dnf thanks to my fuel pump .I'm after what brands others run that are releiable. I need 4.5 to 6.5 psi at 70 litres per hour.(webers) I'm thinking i will set up with two pumps ,just make sure.As the corolla suprised every one when it stopped including me ,as its usually unbrakeable and always finished every event. Thoughts ,advice welcome cheers rob

Thats ashame about urbanville ,we had a crew go up last year in a couple of stanzas they said it was one of the best events for along time. ( no bs). It was like a rally of years ago where ever one just had fun and a beer after, told lies how fast they where.I'm pretty sure there where going this year as well . I hope the tree f##kers didnt have a hand in this one as well?? rob

I think that your right there mark fia will drop us all together if we don't get it right soon. Its a shame that perth lost it to the goverment bumbling ,as they run a good rally. Come on dave its only 4hrs down the nose pickers road .The greenies just made real ass of them selfs at kyolge eg ,smashed the windows out of some blokes rex because he was a rally fan . I'm guessing that if they turn up at coffs ,well put it this way it will not be pretty. As coffs is rally friendly place and I'm sure they will be welcome with open arms by the locals. As well as millions of dollars that will come with them. rob

Well as most rally nuts no by now that coffs harbour has won the 2011 round of the wrc. Thanks mainly to the tree hugers dope smoking wankers on the far north coast. Its a loss of about 15 million to there economy stupid sob.Any way good on coffs they will do it better any way . Coffs is just the perfect rally town five minutes and your in the forest ,bring it on i say. THOUGHTS COMMENTS ?? rob
  22. Have done it using st141 rear disc ,from a live axle .Not sure about the irs rear ends .Need to use longer bolts for the axles and the axle retainers off the corona axles (don't forget these)pretty much bolt up converstion.Or and hand brake cables as well (corona) rob
  23. Maybe try hopper stoppers i think they use to do a kit for 30s .Happy to be corrected on this. There are many different combinations for brakes . rob
  24. + 1 for quadrant have a very good rep in the rallying game :lolcry: rob
