  1. Yeah sorry dude, I ran out of room at home and had to park some in that car park.
  2. 5K=out....ready to go into the goon tomorrow :(

None of the lines were leaking....Long ass story, but basically got the brand new MC rebuilt...and it seems to be ok now...But this day is now behind me...the KE20 is ready to be stripped of it's 5K (After "someone" did donuts in it) and the wagon is passed....all things going well, the wagon will be 5K powered and running by Sunday night...but things always go wrong, so probably Monday :(

More issues :( The master cylinder was bypassing, which is one of the things it failed on...I bought a brand new MC, and we just bled the brakes for.....ever and the pedal still falls to the floor when held on... *sigh* I give up....I've been up now for 33 hours, and spent most of the day in the sun working on the f@$kin thing.....
  5. Rego check=done...9am this morning...already fixed everything it failed on...will be passed in the morning :(

Will do :P Everyone will be at work, with the exception of Sammo from on here hopefully, otherwise it will be entirely me....which is fine, and I have done it many many many many many many times alone, it's just the time limit factor that is freaking me out...Just in case something goes pear shaped.

Damn right u will :jamie: So, rust repairs=complete, big thanks to my mate for one side, and to Thomo for the other side :P It's booked in for a rego check on Thursday morning (Please be kind Jim) and depending on what happens then, It should be registered by Monday. Picking up KE20 on Saturday either way, and will be quickly pulling the 5K out, then selling the KE20 (Either in parts or complete) And then need to have the 5K in by Thursday night when I go back to work again...it's gunna be a tough task, but I should be able to do it. I've been very lazy with the pics...I will get more up soon.

  14. What are everyone's thoughts on lazy Sunday arvo meetings with BBQ lunch? That could be kinda cool, and would solve the whole "rushing after work" thing? Just an idea, otherwise I am happy with Tuesdays (Just wish that guy would hurry up and get that hoist moved and get that dyno up and running so we can play horsepower heroes :wink:)

  20. My mate has a 210rwkw 4AGTE in a KE38....it has a standard size (3 core) Corolla radiator, and he doesn't have heating problems.....The car should always have a thermostat in it. I'm sticking with the guage being dodgy...my KE35 guage reads almost in the red when the water temp is like 87 degrees....I just ignore the guage :wink:
  21. You will have to get a custom cross member made up...or get the mounts welded to the underside of your car.
  22. That gearbox was a KE55 5 speed. It wouldn't have bolted straight in...did you change extension housing? Or modify things

  24. You shouldn't need the thermo fan on at 100 clicks....and the car with no fan at all should run cool at 100, unless it's a stupid hot day. I'd say your guage is dodgy.....You could try replacing the guage/cluster and the sender, or I'd just buy a small aftermarket guage and mount it down low sort of hanging off the lowest point on the dash so it's out of view but still able to be seen by driver. Or at the very least put a temporary one in and take it for a drive and see if it is actually getting hot. After you pull up from doing 100 and the guage says it's hot...firstly, how high is the guage reading? And does the water boil out into the overflow bottle...does the overall temp of the engine bay feel REALLY hot? I bet it doesn't. Another thing to try, get an automotive thermometer and stick it in the water in the top of the radiator and leave the car sit idling until the guage reads hot...and see how hot the water actually is.
