you can't go any bigger well in qld you can't with the power to weight ratio you would have to go ca1.8 turbo if you wanted it legal however i think it cool the N/A Sr20 will have heaps of good :dance:

4k is great lots of parts available up to but a car as light as yours wouldnt take much to make it quick extractors webbers a little head work my 20 goes great with my reco 4k really depends money and what performance your after :no2:

cheers guys Yeah i was reading that these engines run optimal at like 75-85 degrees so maybe like hosing it out myself or geting the best coolant might be the go or if anyoneelse has a radiator spare thats good for a 20 would be great

Hey guys, ok i have a serious cooling issue with my radiator I'm running a 4k 1300 in a ke20 and the temperature is reaching 90 degrees and to cut cost don't peculariy want to re-core it.... And the problem is i don't even think my radiator works or even half of it so was wondering do all ke series bolt straight up if i went to a wreckers and found one just wondering what models worked or what radiaters that people have used that have been great like even celicas/t-18 or what ke radiator would solve the problem that bolts straight up? ...any rollaclub experts really need the help as its my daily atm... Cheers

thanks thats alot clearer i have the ignition and light wires hooked up so just need one to the battery or do you mean to earth it to the car? and the negative to the coil on the disturbuter..

ok rolla members before we all get mad about this topic i have searched everywhere all over the site and none the wiser ok my dillema is... I have been given a tacho and i have hooked up the wires so when i put my lights on the tacho light will light up :y: and the iginition switches on but i havent actually got the tacho reving which is the problem i have a solering iron and wires ready to be hooked up what i gather is that i need to earth one wire then my question is does the other wire go to the distruber or what do i hook up that wire too any help would be much appreciated s i have been completely racking my brain for answers rolla members any help would be superb.. ps I'm running a 4k-c 1300 in a ke 20 cheers any help much appreciated

yeah cheers its a idea i have been toying with for a while because the next step in me building my ultimate ke20 would be then to LPG it... it would be toooo slow with lpg the 4k so a 7k power increase with amazing economy.. with petrol only rising

just assuming i went ahead with the 7K myself... could i shave the numbers off the block and ingrave my 4k numbers so if i get pulled over by the police and the look under the hood do u think that they would be fooled? or is a 7k just that much bigger that its not believable that its a 1300 4k... cheers

I'm running a 4K 1300 ke 20 and I can't seem to get the car to start eventually i can but its taking ages like 15minutes of be pedal down and pumping with the choke on and off. I poped the bonnet and i expected the new fuel filter i bought to be full of fuel but its half full so am i right in assuming theres a blockage somewhere in the fuel lines? any advice or tips or the solution would be much appreciated guys or if it could be something else... cheers

Hey rolla guys just enquiring for some expert advice i have a 1971 toyota corolla ke20 with a 4k 1300 engine outtta a 81 model just enquring when i stop running the car the engine contines to run and slowly then die out some have to kick it over again and then turn it off second quiry is that i having trouble witht the starting of the car the racq guy told me to upgrade the fuel filter because i having bit of gunk getting caught in the fuel lines thats why its dieing anyone with any advice or tips would be much appreciated.. cheers guys

Mate i can feel your pain I'm living outta home doing 12 hour days then find time to go to the gym 5 days a week being a labour on $19 an hour but life wasnt meant to be easy mate i got bills rent electricty internet mate if life was easier we would all be millionaires i feel your pain its up to you with determination. Oh and the car looks amazing alot of work keep it up mate work for yourself is when the money is if your chasing big bucks but at the end of the day its up to you

These guys are right bout the prep i have sprayed my 20 with expensive spray cans and it looks the business did a couple of coates in the shed and cost me about70 bucks in quality gloss red cans :)

yeah gotta thank the man :) the brakes are a big improvement pull it straight up now i have worked them in a bit with the guide it shouldnt be that hard for guys with basic knowledge to do the job themselves only took about hour and half to do both..

hey guys A Long way down the track i will eventually i will improve my engine power to a major increase however my ke20 just with the 4k 1.3 it doesnt brake that well i mean pulling up has a delay which isnt that safe i don't think anyways so was wondering wats the best way about stopping alot better. i was browsing through the net and the website and came across superjamie dude that says that ke70 brake with vn commodore callipers would stop the car very well.. otherwise whats the best way about stopping the car on a budget with not alot of mechanical knowledge.. costs would be helpful too guys on a budget..
