  1. you know you love the twins! :) i must admit it only suits some cars though.
  2. my car was passed with not reverse lights fullstop. or an exhaust tip. and the gear knob was loose. and the handbrake only goes up one click because its so tight :hammer:
  3. nah, mine is mainly when coldish and when you try and accelerate quickly at low revs, it just makes that sucking noise you hear and sounds like its going to conk out.
  4. yea, i always use K&H but teddy told me he used supercheap paint, so thats why i said it :)

  6. i think ill just have to measure it against another car. but i can't now because ive taken the gauges out :D stupid fuel gauge!
  7. well the other day i just found out that the linkage between the throttle spring and the lever that pumps the fuel in is missing. so i figured at the moment it would be good for fuel economy but down on horses. at the moment it is just relying on vacum to suck the fuel through, which is why is i try and accelerate fast it tries to die on me and makes the big slurp sound. my question is, is there any disadvantages in the long run of leaving it as is for a while until i can find/make a replacement? please correct me on anything i havent got right. cheers tom

  9. how did i not notice this thread before. i have a 2t in my ke50 which runs a T50 gearbox, and has had the cams re-ground, mild head work, extractors, and full 2.5" exhaust. it goes pretty well for a single cam 1.6 and its got a fair bit of torque considering as well. there was a model of the ke50 which came out with a 2t-b, which it the same as mine however runs a slightly higher compression ratio and solex carbies, so my car just has a crossmember from one of these models (forget which one). the 2t actually has a cross-flow type head and double rocker shafts, which is said to give nearly as much performance as using double overhead cams. Its maximum output is 102 HP at 6000 rpm with a maximum torque of 14.0 m-kg (101 ft-lb) at 3800 rpm. i like it :cool:
  10. ok sweet, i know where that is. been there many the time, nice drive actually. i spoke to jamie (orange ke35) today and i though he said it was at (insert name here) point. but then again I'm industrialy deaf so yea.
  11. yea, i was thinking of doing that sort of test. the gold wheels were on it when i bought the car, although i didnt drive it much in that form (basically undriveable). so it might have been re-calibrated for those wheels? I'm not sure. ill find out somehow.
  12. ok, well ive finished putting a new gt40r coil on and ballast resistor, with new points and condencer for the dizzy. starts very nicely :) only problem is i found out the fuel gauge doent work and the speedo seems to be out. any ideas?

  15. hahaha. you will soon enough :) by the time it gets to the next rollaclub cruise it will have the gold wheels on too. once i get the calipers from simon haha. i will get pics of it tomorrow.
  16. good news fellas, passed with flying colours! well actually it needed two new tyres apparently but he let me go. also go the new exhaust tip and tail pipe, sounds the goods, and looks it too :) plus 12 months rego, saaal goood maaiin.
  17. so much for that haha. i didnt read your post until today anyways. goign in for road worthy tomorrow plus a new exhaust tip. *prays to the ar gods it will pass* :)
