  1. Lol, thats money i don't have at the moment ay, but it would be nice, ill just take it out like that, kick the old bitch in the guts and see how she goes. like i said, ive driven this car twice since ive owned it so I'm just keen to do a pass regardless of the outcome.
  2. Sorry I'm a dumb shit and i don't know what that means lol...
  3. I just recently found this thread and I'm hoping i havnt missed the boat cause i want in on this in a big way. Ive had my KE25 for over 2 years and ive driven it like twice!? The motors just been rebuilt and I'm keen as mustard to punch out a quarter mile time. Probably wont break the 13sec mark cause its manual but i just picked up some racing slicks for it the other day so that should keep it pretty competitive. Seriously.....i want in.:rolla:
  4. Keen on seeing some more pics of the new ride dude, if you need any help putting it back together just let me know, I'm more then happy to come to the shop and have a crack with ya. :y:
  5. Yours actually came up pretty good man, i did all the body work today, i just used body filler though, tomorrow ill try to sand it all back then prime the bad areas, photos will be up when its done, not sure how PRO its gonna be.....
  6. I think at the end of the day I'm probably gonna do the same thing. around the boots a bit of a worry though.
  7. Ive sanded back the car now and have had a better look at the rust between the boot and the left tail light and its pretty bad, i havnt had much to do with body repairs at all and it looks like a pretty awkward area to cut and weld a plate in, but then again mabye it isnt? I just wanna cut as much as i can out and bog over it but what i wanna know is how longs that gonna last before the rust comes back through? If youve done this before od worse let me know how you did it,cheers :y:
  8. Id be checking that there is a good contact between the horn button and the steering wheel its self, have you taken the wheel off recently? it would be somthing to do with that if your saying youve definatly taken the horn out and tested it.
  9. dude the car looks f@$kin sweet man, done such a good job on it.

  10. The fastest car ive ever owned was a TD Gemini, it had a 13b Bridgeport engine. Scared the shit out of me everytime i drove it but i had to sell it cause it wasnt engineered and i wanted something bigger at the time, but every gear in that thing used to put me back in the seat.
  11. Wow man thats looking unreal, good to see all your hard works paying off huh. best colour you couldve done by far too Ryan.
  12. Hey man, i saw you driving down Tapleys Hill Rd at about 8.30 tonight, I tried to catch up to you but the traffic was pretty bad, not sure if you remember the police bike on the side of the rd that had pulled some one over but thats about where i seen ya. Anyway man the cars looking sweet.
  13. Thats lookin pretty damn sick ryan, i bet ya hangin to take that thing for a squirt huh.
  14. Another busy day with the Rolla, I'm really trying to make the most of this next 2 weeks cause I'm holidays and usually this sorta shit would be done on weekends. Fully striped the car of its doors today which was really easy but i decided that rather then throw them out complete it was probably smarter to strip them of all theyre goodies first. I took absolutly everything including the rubbers, saves me having to buy more if i need them for the next doors i buy, plus if a window breaks or a lock f@$ks up i wont have to mess about trying to get it from a wrecker.
  15. Good to hear things are coming together for you on the new project mate, i wouldnt mind seeing some pics though? but i guess your probably gonna wait till shes all complete before ya splash it accross rolla club. :rolls:
  16. well for now ill guess ill just leave the car as is then since it allready has the king springs, hopefully with new wheels itll tuck under the guard a bit further, thanks for answering.
  17. lol, its like smoking in a way, you know its bad and potentially dangerous yet the angle grinder pulls trumps over reason, but having said that i think your right, theres a fine line between cutting 2 coils and then deciding its not enough and then you cut another coil and before you know it your car is unable to drive over a speed bump without bottoming out and becoming just plain annoying to drive. Theres nothing i hate more then being behind some yuppy in a low as ride and having to wait 10 minutes for them to navigate their way through a spoon drain all cause they went ape shit with the grinder. but what i really want to know is there any difference between buying lowered springs and cutting the ones you allready have to the same size? I'm just asking cause I'm not sure why anyone would spend up to $400+ if they really don't need to.

Oh man that feeling never dies, dosnt matter how old you are or how many rides youve done up. That feeling of knowing that the car is where you want it to be due to your hard work is truly a good feeling, f@$kin good for you dude. :rolls:
  19. Okay ive finally finished putting the struts back together, it was pretty easy to do as i said earlier all cars should be that easy to work on. i went for lowered king springs all round which i bought cause they were going cheap. Theres a noticable difference in the height of the car but i just don't think its low enough, I'm thinking about taking a coil off the springs to bring it down a little. Everyone says that cutting springs is a bad idea but why? what does it really do to the car? ive done it heaps of times and ive never noticed anything 'bad' from it, only thing ive noticed is that its lower. If youve got any feedback as to why it might be a bad idea or vice versa id love to hear it. before After
  20. Lol, when i paint it I'm gonna do it in white, simply for the fact that its just that much easier to go the same colour as the original because that way i wont have to worry about the inside of the doors and the engine bay, but thats not to say that i don't like matt black cars.
  21. Thanks dude, i got the struts out with ease this time, every other car ive taken struts out of (pretty much all commodores) the first thing i go for is the steering arm bolt and split pin. I can't believe how easy it was to get them out of the KE70! Other then the two 14 mm nuts on the back of the caliper, theres only 2 17mm nuts behind the wheel hub and the three 14mm nuts on the strut tower under the bonnet and thats it!? Why can't every car be this easy to work on? Anyway pics will be up later today of the final height of the car, also took the tailshaft and the radiator out and undone every bolt and wire that holds the motor and box in except the two gearbox crossmember bolts, all i need now is a engine crane and that suckers coming out, very shortly it will be replaced with a 5 speed k50, can't f@$king wait...
  22. well that settles it then, i might go out and have another crack at it if thats the case, cheers for your help.
  23. The thing that stopped me from doing it believe it or not was the steering arm bolt (the one the has a split pin through it) are you saying that i can get the strut out without having to undo that? If so then that would mean its just the too bolt at the bas os the strut then wouldnt it? :lolcry:
  24. Thats the first time ive ever seen or heard of that model car and honestly i reckon you could pimp that thing so easily. If it were mine i would be going for the biggest rims money can buy and dumping it on its ass, imagine the stereo you could fit in the back...Home theatre. :lolcry:
