welcome to rolla club dude, i love that car probably more then you do! Any car is welcome to Rolla club dude, i think what sam2306 is trying to say is that theres a specific thread in rolla club where you can list your 'non corolla' heres a link. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showforum=107 that car youve got is very very cool, and extremlly hard to get hold of so, your lucky to get one in such good condition. Best of luck...

Please do Ryan, I'm going to be putting a vn radiator in it soon to cool it down some more cause she gets real hot real quick. I'm still running it in but ill have rego soon so if you wanna come and have a look, we might as well at least cruze it for a bit, I'm so anxious to see what it goes like but I'm just gonna be nice and run it in properly. Good to hear from ya mate, oh and dude, the wagon is lookin unbelievable. :jamie:

Edit - rubbish pics removed, lol.

Some of you may remember reading that i converted my ke25 from a 7k turbo, to a standard 5k which ive just recently had rebuilt. Ive bought a ke70 now and i want to put the 7k turbo into the ke70 for burnout comps, the problem is that the motor over heats really easy, it has a standard 3,4,5k radiator and a engine fan at the moment, I'm thinking that obviously i should put a bigger rad in it with a thermo fan considering the motor came out of a liteace van and the rad would have been a lot bigger then the standard one. But is that the best option? is there a better way? :no2:

+1 for the clutch plate fail dude.
-
I just want you to know that your living my dream, lol, i would kill to have a 1j in my ke25, (though id probably end up dead if i got it)
-
Nice work dude, thats sik!

I challenge anyone to find a more stupid song then this....
-
Too easy Ryan, look forward to seeing ya mate. :)
-
Lol Dave, thats a f@$kin brilliant idea, I'm getting my new motor back in about two weeks so ill try it out for sure. Pete.
-
Hey ryan, yeah mate should have the motor back next week i hope, can't wait! I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with this Calais dude? I know one thing though, If i keep it its gonna be getting a manual thrown in it! But I'm just trying to weigh up wether or not its actually worth the f@$k around cause it just looks like the sort of car that would get defected in no time. With the way fuzz are these days I'm seriously considering getting a little fuel injected late model Rolla to just keep as a daily.

I like your work ethic Ryan, looks like the cars coming along quite well. Ive told you in the past, if you need my help with anything just let me know. :D
-
Cheers Ryan, sooooo helpful! :jamie: Youve seen it dude so you know the stuffs all there ready to go so i *hopefully* should find it fairly easy to do by myself, I'm not planning to break any speed records, i just wanna get both engines out and do some measurments. Apparently the bonnet latch isnt gonna fit so I'm just gonna got the old 'lynch pin lockdown!' Its probley gonna look try hardish but it has to happen to have it down i guess. Anyway, as promised, ill keep this topic updated as i go. Pete.
-
Yeah man, keen as to do it. its gonna happen next saturday so ill keep everyone posted on this. Thanks for all the kno :jamie: wledge and advice.

Not sure what you meen by grade, but i went 600 1200 2000 all wet rub. I just got the sand paper from a auto shop, did the trick! :jamie:
-
Agreed Ryan, EFI will go sick on the old 202. It would be nice to go 186 but ive got the 202 so I'm not gonna root around too much, not for a corona. :jamie: Pete.
-
Well to be honest i thought i would get slammed for putting this post in Rolla Club, But once again the members have proven to be extremly helpful. I always laugh when i see noobs coming on this site to ask questions that have all been asked before and have no money, and the reaction from some senior members is priceless. lol :jamie: I'm still surprised that no one else has really considered doing this especially when it sounds so easy, like i said, i have all the parts to do the job properly so I'm gonna go ahead and do it, i got the VH for $300 and the Corona for $100 so its not gonna break the bank, plus i can do it myself so it should be free. Thanks again guys. :y:

Whats The Worst Engine Ever Made?
KETURBO25 replied to KETURBO25's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
The Camira, lest we forget. lol And the f@$kin triton! what a rubbish rubbish heavy as vehicle! -
So what is the worst engine you can remember either owning or seeing? I meen, there a few lemons out there, so lets hear it. Mabye it was unreliable? or mabye it was just slow? I'm gonna kick this off by listing the 'Starfire engine'. They were found in early model Commodores, Coronas and verious other vehicles, I just bought a corona with a Starfire engine (more like a startfire!). Its by far the slowest smokiest peice of dog shit ive ever driven, and it has a timing chain rattle that would give off the impression that its had a hand full of washers dropped down each bore. Absolute rubbish! :jamie:
-
Lol dude, i can't wait to get ride of the starfire. Ive riden motorised push bikes that would cain it in take off! I'm not only doing it for the extra power, I'm doing it cause theyre more reliable. :y: Seriously, the starfire motor is by far the biggest peice of shit to have ever been built ever!!!!! :jamie:

Everytime i see your car i love it more and more, I'm really into that colour too. Keep it up nick cause its lookin good, very original. I was thinking about getting an old school sunvisor for my ke25, but for some reason i just don't think it will look as good on my car as it does on yours? Probley the colour... Pete. :jamie:

Ive looked everywhere on the net to see wether or not its possible to pull a rubbish starfire out of a xt130 Corona and drop in a holden 6 (202) and ive found no answers. I found this to be surprising considering the engine mounts and most everything else looks the same, the only thing that ive heard needs to happen is the radiator needs a thermo mounted on the front rather then the back (engine side). Ive got both a VH Commodore and a xt130 Corona so all the parts are easily sourced for a conversion. Please let me know if you've heard of this being done cause I'm sure it can happen, i just wanna know if the 202 motor and box will fit in without having to change cross members or not. *PLEASE NOTE* I'm quite aware that this is Rolla Club, not corona club, not holden club. I'm merely asking if you have any knowledge of this conversion. :jamie: Pete.

Lol. Pwned :jamie:

Lol Parrot! thats funny as dude  Hopefully i can avoid that that!
