longer accelerator cable, comes around the carbys and pulls from the left side... pic coming right up... ok not the most elegant setup...but it works....(thats savages car btw)
  10. Bye Bye Thanks Greenbank towing!!
  11. I don't recon they suit the car...something like deep dish longchamps would look so much better!
  12. :P...No mixed feelings here...its ruined!
  13. I don't think hes planning to be a mechanic as such, just to learn some more about cars... I meant cost as in your going to have to buy a more recent car which is gonna cost more (like a twinky AE82 or 92)
  14. carby is nice to learn on because its a simple system.... and you can do things to it. EFIs more daunting to get into...and more expensive...
  15. Nah thats for hotrods and historic cars etc etc etc Conditional registration is what your looking for. You don't need a saftey cert for it either....its a owner self check.
  16. can anyone else tell hes an engineer?
  17. I guess its all to do with how and what you want the car setup for. The GT3 could whoop V8s all over the circuit yet only runs mid 12 second quarters when the same cars it whooped on the track are runnings 11s and faster...
  18. hahaha HI SPUD!!
  19. BAH this is a piece of precision machinery...go get a bogan V8 to do skids you....bogan :P
  20. nice! Interesting size intake there.... :P
  21. Might want to look at an aftermarket ECU or chip your current one...
  22. Thats why I thought a 5-link wouldnt tramp like that.... I guess they do...I saw a Porche GT3 at the drags try and do a burnout...it just tramped up to the line lmao...
  23. Conditional Registration Code OL3 "The registered operator must be a member of an authorised motoring club and the vehicle must only be used in conjunction with an authorised club event, or for testing purposes within 15km of home address." for more info see: http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/qt/LTASinf...ration_homepage
  24. I guess thats something I should consider! I'll research it a bit more :P
  25. I wouldnt think they would...pumping boost into a stock engine is gonna shorten its life so I can't imagine toyota honouring the warrenty. Ive seen a WRX guy mod his car to death...then return it to stock and go for warrenty. He would have gotten away with it if some people off the forums took it into their own hands to stop his fraudulent claims. (FYI he ran 17psi boost into a stock engine...melted a piston)
