Well who wants to slap me????? i had the lca's around the wrong way :bash: palm-forehead....... :bash: :bash: Mid way through swapping the lca's over the car slipped off the jack and having both wheels off and one wheel under middle of the crossmember, it missed the wheel and landed the strut on my hand :( , I had my fingers on the edge of the dust cover and the car landed on the jack/struts >| , out came the hammer after i yelled at my brother to come take some weight of the car so i could get my hand out, it has afew more dents then it did when i started :) Cheers to everyone that has thrown ideas at me over the past few days it's been a great help :y:

Yeah i'll double and tripple check again terry cheers for the idea, I was gonna get under it yesterday but it decided to piss down with rain >| If it is just the lca's around the wrong way i'll hit myself in the head for everybody who has helped out, I'm also looking for some longer lca's too so i might just get some new rack ends aswell, anybody got some xt130's or sigmas for sale?? reed if it doesn't work may i suggest a big sledge hammer undo all the nuts and bolts take the master cyl off, BELT THE F@$K out of it makes you feel better after you've bought a new master cyl from repco/autobarn/bursons/stupidly cheap. That way after you have smashed the shit out of the old master you can replace with a brand new one and bleed it and be sweet, May i suggest getting a full set of slave cyl's aswell as a master

Yeah i thought about that too, checked them and there on the same way they came off, i seperated the struts off the lca's and the steering arms are pointing backwards i.e. the way they should be so i can't have put the lca's on the wrong way round but i'll double check it anyways cheers, if i have to i'll just go get longer rack ends and put it together, get a lock spacer and be done with it. I just don't understand how it could do it though grrrrrrrrrrrr :bash:

oh true fair enough, i was talking about the actual rack ends :yes: , you'd think that there would be no difference in k series crossmembers from ke70 - ke71, cause there still the same engine being bolted in and the rack lined up in the same spot on the keto crossmember, this is really making my brain hurt!!!! :bash:

nah everything is from the white ke71, i.e struts, rack, lca's, rack ends are the same size, the racks in the ke71's i found are about 10mm longer :bash: so i swapped them over from ke70 to ke71 and still the same thing, Yeah terry i know about the length differences in lca's but there stock i'm pretty sure, yeah ra60 rack ends are huge

Hey guys, i have a problem that is making my brain explode 3 times over, I bolted the lca's in, struts, castor rods in on both sides, and then went to re bolt the rack ends in and tie rods onto the car, and it pulled the front of the wheels out, and with the tie rods just screwed on, it sits like this >>>>> \-/ The thing thats making my head explode is it was setup exactly the same way in the white ke71!!!!!! WTF now do you see why i'm dying, i thought it might be castor

The only reason i'm using a falcon diff is for the disk brake's ease of mini spool and ease of finding good gear sets and plus i already have it in the front yard :yes: I'd love to be able to throw my money at a Willwood set but i can't and i'm not that rich hahaha, I'm willing to add abit of weight to it and go a little overboard and make sure it stops good Cheers for the opinions dude, i'll deffinately be looking into the rx7 kits for 86 struts

am looking at ideas for brakes too, i know about techno toy tuning apparently makes 86 upgrades, and i'm also looking at hopper stoppers brake kits, as they come 5 stud falcon pattern, and i'm using a falcon diff so i'm leaning towards hopper stoppers but i need opinions on which one too use so anybody who has used both i'd be cheering to hear abit of feed back on them

There stock tail lights outside just gonna be awsome (hopefully) hahahaha, thinking about painting the lenses black/smoking them out aswell i prefer the stock keto tail lights to the dx ones :yes: PLUS a little extra awesome And am tosing up what colour to paint it, wanna keep it flat black pigness, but also want it clean at the same time So i'm stuck in the middle

so it got diffed today so i can push it back into the front yard to keep the council happy :) , i also found the fuel pump i'm gonna use as a lift pump today in the shed, which is just as loud as a facet but it's not a facet :( either way there's the 1st step of the fuel system :D
