  1. can always port the head abit to make it flow abit better, cams, adj cam gears, better valve springs  just to list afew things
  2. If you can weld then you will have the hardest part of the conversion covered. I was in the middle of this conversion into my ke70 and it has cost me $10, and that was just buying engine mounts that didn't work anyway, you just have to find cheap bits and pieces, the only problem sometimes with said bits and pieces is there is usually a reason people are seliing them cheap!! Also make sure you can find a car that doesn't need a bazillion dollars work done to the body so that it's straight again
  3. clearly not up to date with all the cool kids and there sayings!! :P Must be a northside of brisbane upwards thing :P hahahahahaha
  4. oh yeah my bad there ''irs'', i appologise :D
  5. Clean everything and use new gaskets everywhere and avoid using gasket goo for a gasket, combining both is always better  If it's a bigport 4age, i have a set of standard acl forged rod bearings you can have for $50 :P assuming the crank isn't fooked and needs a slight grind...... Other than that thrown new everything at it, i.e bearings, piston rings, get the injectors cleaned, polish the cam covers, polish the fuel rail, the list doesn't end............
  6. why go a zero offset???? The idea here is to not have stupid amounts of tire/rim sticking out the guards just to have it sit nicely under them.... Going by what reed is saying am i right??
  7. you will have a text tomorrow morning squire
  8. havn't you noticed the ke hasn't had an update in awhile and there is a forsale thread for it??? My mate is buying an el fairmont converted to manual xr6 without the xr front, and taking that for a quick strap on sunday made me miss manual falcons :P, plus i'm over the ke's for awhile now, BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING, I'M KEEPING THIS FALCON!!!!!!!!!
  9. can't see why not mate..... Aslong as it's done properly should pass no drama's Have a look through some of the build threads on here and get an idea of what diffs people are using
  10. or buy something with a 4 link rear end already!! For example, ke70.... Ta22/3, ra23/8 celica, datto 1600(i think there 4 link rear)
  11. it's ok the car is now considered radiatored picked up a $50 special from oxley wreckers that is overrated so now i've got a working falcon again just gotta get a roady and rego one day in the near future, Then super low front springs, ultra low rears, and manual conversion
  12. ++++++++++++++++++ infintiy
  13. hahahaha completely OT hahaha. yeah dude have abit of a scoure through people's build threads and have a look at what there doing for bigger brakes
  14. thank go i live in qld, is all i can say let us know how she goes with it bud
  15. matt, stock = fail, 3.45's and manual = win Yeah trev have you got a set of ke70 rear springs laying around so i can do it lol :P hahahahahahaha, nah not gonna happen, Lovells, Pedders or king falcon springs are the only springs going into this car :D
  16. I'm pretty sure if you find an r33 front you can upgrade brakes and 5stud, or just find an s14 setup which is 5 stud and should go straight onto the s13 front
  17. you can always get the axles re done to 4 stud when you get the diff shortened, hopperstoppers do kits for big brakes and 5 stud and there is combo's of all different things for a bigger brake and falcon and many other car 5 stud, curly had a neet setup on the front of his 3rzfeT ke38 wagon
  18. so still no ef/el radiator but I scored a 3.45:1 xr6/8 diff with lsd which will be thrown into the car as soon as i have some low springs and shocks i don't wanna go cut the springs cause thats not cool in a falcon at all :P anyways pics so you know it's real haha
  19. There is nothing wrong with flat black if you do it properly YES IT WILL draw more attention from our lovely police man/woman, but when driving a ke70 it doesn't matter how clean it is, you will still get pulled over, i know this cause it's happened to me before with every ke70 i've had, If you lower it to make it handle and put a nice set of wheels on it, cops see that and go hey you in the corolla pull over
  20. good luck with it mate, seems you have alot of work ahead of you but will be well worth it, i have seen a sr ae71 with silvia irs and it WAS blue plated here in qld..... Anyways good luck with it and i hope it works out for you
  21. boso stlye it up :D would lookinsane, not so healthy for the wheels bearings on the front but still wicked none the less hahahaha
  22. lol i'd get ya to help out but the only thing stopping mine is those rectangle things people tend to call $$$$$$$$$$$$ hahahaha But it's good to see someone offering there services, also to help you out, it's good to have your own tools too, cause it's a pain in the ass when you've got two people doing a job and only one socket/ratchet or only one spanner(in that one size) when two people need the exact same socket/spanner
  23. YES, i've had 2 5k's now and trust me it's an good bang for buck upgrade :), the 5k i had in my 1st white slanty front (not the latest one) used to sit next to my mates old wrangler starting in 3rd and leaning on it from 60klms(yes i was racing on a public street and this has nothing to do with RC in anyways shape or form, i am not telling you or anyone to go out and start racing simply stating a fact), and the wrangler was a 4l none the less, thats pretty impressive for a stock 1.5l in a ke70 and there heavier than a 36, i've also had the pleasure of a 5k 36 wagon and that made it go alright up too 100 from the side of the highway
  24. Then you'll be winning like charlie sheen
  25. or by eye and running your fingers around the outside of the clutch and seeing if it's pretty even on all sides were you can feel the clutch
