I will agree, but they do it sooooooo well, I have video evedence to back it up :D Ok so you want to know what corolla slides best..... ke70 will straight out of the box, coil sprung ass end FTW, then you can cut the springs, get short shocks, adj. Panhard rod, and go for gold on a skid pan, a k series corolla will fail to slide in the dry, unless you spend a shit load of dosh on it. As much as I hate nissans I have to agree with ke70dave here go buy a natro silvia and learn that way SKIDPANS ARE BEST, Trust me when I say learn to slide the xr6, straight outta the box the pwn any stock rolla ten times over, I have had falcons sliding many a time and the most fun i've had in a car was on track or skidpan, The reason people are hating is because you have said yourself you would do it on the street where nobody is around, but what you don't realise is there are always people around, be it highway, industrial estate, main road, side road. There are always people floating around SOMEWHERE, and the last thing we want to hear about is you or someone you know being injured from a late night industrial skid sesh gone wrong I am not one to talk as I have had my industrial estate nights, but as soon as I got on the skid pan I never returned to an industrial estate again

So have been gathering bits and pieces so this thing passes roady, there is afew things I can't change till it's on the street but I've almost 85% of things just waiting for the weather to sparlke again :P hahaha

T56 would be a good thing for increased power later down the track, and also highway cruising :D

Yeah I know everyone uses au motors but i'd just use the el motor cause it'd already be there, and it wouldn't be hard to swap later on, I know heaps of cars making easy 300rwhp, yeah the dohc would be even more work Yeah so wanna get it happening then???? That they have done :D Still a 2jzee no shit would be preferable but it's been done before where as a 4L hasn't

I do agree with every one of you and what you are all saying, But i want to be different and original and as far as i'm aware nobody has used a 4L in a corolla, fair enough they may be shithouse motors as everyone is saying they are, and it may need a rebuild to get it to properly handle boost, but many people have succesfully boosted them on stock bottom ends and have had them last quite awhile, but i have faith in them, some people may say why waste your time on it and others will say do it. I wouldn't run stupid amounts of boost through a stock motor thats for sure, but a stock 4L bottom end should easily handle say 6-12psi, for how long depends on how well it has been looked after, it's just like people who turbo n/a rb30's and just throw a turbo on the side I have been looking into the costs involved and it may be expensive but thats what happens when you want to be original and do something out of the box, nothing is set in stone at the moment, i am simply gathering feedback on it :D Dave it doesn't matter how long it takes any of my cars to get done, eventually they will be done, i know i have gone backwards about 50bazillion times and spent more money on 4 different motors for it but it's all experience in my eyes, This is simply feedback related and peoples opinions on it that is all, and i appreciate everyone throwing thier opinions out there

I don't mind a 1600 or 1200 ute myself I think alot people that like old school like just about everything old school be it from the toyota stable, mazda, nissan/datsun, ford, holden, mitsubishi(yes there are some cool old mitsi's) :)

what size throttle body are you looking at using?? I see you have it all worked out, and i'd like too see what it runs down the quarter aswell
