Ok 1st off, i have like 3 falcon diffs to use, and i'm pretty sure there are a shit load of boosted falcons still with the stock diffs(maybe el diffs if it's a boxcar), look at the ed xr6t thread in non toyota rides he's still using the stock ed diff and it handles it fine(and if i'm not mistaken i think the rajab boys el drag car still uses a falcon diff with upgraded shit through it), the only things that break in falcon diffs are the axle's, and lsd's are a waste of time IMHO i would much prefer a mini spool/ 4wd systems lokka, hilux diffs are strong yes don't get me wrong but when you have 3 diffs laying around in the shed makes more sence to use them, and i've never had a diff break on me Tailshaft has to be custom i know :) Ok the reason why it starts with a polished cooler is because if you didn't notice it started at the front of the car and went backwards through it, i hope you understand now why it is the way that it is :D Phil if you wanna do it we'll use my 70 and get into it :D
-
it would useless at driving around corners yes but sliding around them thats a different story hahahaha, and if i was to put a 6 into a keto, it certainly wouldn't be used for time attack or sprints thats certain :D I think keeping it straight would be a mission, powercuise would be fun though :P imagine the looks on the boys driving big v8's seeing a turbo ke70 coming up in there rear view mirror full of wheelspin and smoke pouring off the back tires :D would be priceless
-
Wouldn't really waste the money on a buick V6 anyways tbh, plus i like a challenge, and by moving the motor back it would technically take more weight off the front axle and therefore steer better :D, i know just because it's cheap isn't an excuse to do it, but if everyone went by that mentality, where would OKE020 be today??? the shifter position isn't really a drama cause you can always make a lever system and put it where ever you want! I've seen it done before on a 2J s15 with the motor moved back so like 1.5cyl's were over the front wheels in a drift car and it apparently handled the same as with an sr in it if not better they reckon
-
yeah falcon motors are pretty heavy, but it's just like anything move it back to get some weight off the front wheels it'll handle Yeah drift, drag, burnout car, and if in some miracle it'd pass a modplate/engineering street car....
-
not if you moved it so it had say 2.5cylinders over the front wheels instead of 3/3.5, plus heavy spring rates help :P Yeah would love a ba/f xr6turbo motor but there way to expensive, and i can get a whole car for $300

hey guys was talking to afew mates of mine about dropping a turbo ef/l falcon 4L into a kesev, I just wanted to know what are your thoughts on it Here's what would be used.... EL donor car for 1. Motor and manual box. 2. Wiring harness 3. Dash 4. Any other little bits on pieces The ke would then be fitted with 1. Polished silver front mount i/c and polished stainless cooler pipes 2. Some form of radiator havn't quite worked that out yet, falcon radiators are too wide to fit 3. 4L, T5, Cushioned button clutch and custom tailshaft 4. Turbo manifold and TO4Z with external gate and screamer 5. 3inch exhaust 6. falcon dash and wiring harness 7. Front seats and half cage (possible full cage) 8. Welded shut and smoothed rear doors 9. shortend falcon diff with spool and 4.11:1's 10. Stock falcon 15's all round 11. Dumped on whatever springs felt neccassary 12. BIG BRAKES So what do you think about it.... don't tell me why not beams 3sgte, sr, ca, fourage, the idea is to be different, or the cost would be stupidly huge to do it all, i can get crazy bargins :) I just would like to hear some opinions on it is all, Cheers Justin
-
cause a ke36 ute would look fkn overrated
-
oh so your gonna cut the springs and weld the diff.......... :P hahahahahahahahaha, fully sick driftr :D Just do it, BTW it needs alot more lowwwwww
-
hmmmmmm this is alittle worrying knowing it took 5 times for you to pass your driving assesment. That tells me you need to pay more attention when you drive and not worry about who's behind you only whats beside and infront of you, now i just hope we don't see in your thread you've smashed the car from not paying attention :D

as much as you spend the dollars on this box you have now, it still wont be as strong as a TKO5/600 or even a T56, IMO wouldn't it be better to go with a better gearbox straight away instead of spending the same amount of money on a weaker box and when your at/above the power you want have the sycncro's fail and making it harder to shift/select gears??? I know t56's or tko's take a hell of a lot more thrashing than a T5 will before it starts to show signs of wear :jamie: . I do bid you good luck sir and would be good to see this as the fastest n/a Bseries in aus :D

another couple of questions mate.... How easy was installing the J3 chip????, i'm looking at using the J3 on the ef for my manual conversion if i can't find a manual computer, also have you had anyone not able to tune it?, i'm too scared to ask these questions on the boosted thread incase i get flamed and raped from senior users calling me a noob lol hahahaha
-
Just be carefull with the T5's and don't smash through gears as they're a pretty weak box.... But you probably already know that :D , will be good to see if you can manage it..... Maybe look into a t56 conversion later on to handle more power and AN EXTRA GEAR hahahaha :P Dude didn't you have that overrated ef with a fairmont front not long ago?????
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmm maaaaaaaaddddddddd 2nd - 3rd gear roll on skids!!!!!!! Sounds like it's all done properly, will be very keenly awaiting pictures :D
-
there was a guy on 86dc with a 70 and he put a ducktail on it and it looked absolutely horn!!!!!!
-
might bring 'the boat' out next thursday night if it's rego'd in time, Havn't been to harry's in awhile, last i was there there was like 3 rolla's there! 2 86's and a flat front 70
-
don't you have a build thread to put this up in??
-
i reckon he can also feel the difference when he changes from left to right hand too :P 86 ducktail spoilers go onto xE7x's to but need abit of modification, but once there on the car..................... *fap fap fap fap fpa*

The Rebuild Of Slw42 Version 2.0 Ke55 Coupe
SLW42 replied to Undertaker_is_the_best's topic in Rollaclub Rides
you could drive it but it'd be abit sketchy :P -
read the previous posts guys it states YOU NEED CUSTOM ENGINE MOUNTS, so in other words get an engine crane, drop the motor and box into it where you are happy with it and then grab a welder and start making some mounts :jamie:
-
what car to start with?? And on the several ke's that i've had i've always just used a flat blade screw driver and gently levered them up and off, either that or get angry and just pulled them off and have never broken a clip yet, maybe it's just pure ass but it works
-
this will be on the street next week sometime, so lock up your daughters cats, and your wifes dogs, coz it'll just float past and suck them all up hahahahahahhahaha, also hopefully float under the rozza's radar too, was thinking about number plates for it the other day....... ISA,873 - is a boat, IFL.047 - i float, 510.OEF - slow ef, EF.P05 - ef P.O.S, or even 013HOE :P hahahhaha

If you lost your licence for 12 months, For example.... Your supposed to get your opens in august, but loose it in april, and choose 1 point for one year, the date you get your licence back after the one point 1 year good behaviour, add 12months onto that date and that's when you get your opens, trust me it's gay cause it's happening to me

TRY FINDING A SPOOL FOR A KE/AE/86 diff, near impossible (i know this i looked around for ages) unless you get it custom made, OR get a KAAZ 2 way and get it shimmed so it's bassically locked
-
looks the goods dude :y:

All i can say is don't waste the money on putting a ca20 in the car, go ca18det from the start!!!!
