i was lookin at doing this to my celica man and the celica's are thinner than a ke70 or ae71 corolla so you have to get the diff shortened

yes the "Two peice coilovers" wil work but technically there not coilovers there adjustable springs :jamie: Cheers Justin

the black wire should go to the negitive of the ignition(to tell what revs it's doing) and then red goes to ignition power(so when you turn the key on the tacho turns on and then you have the power wire for the lights which is self explanitory run it to a park light wire what brand of tacho do you have if it is autometer there wil be two wires that come out the back of the tacho and you will have to cut a 1 wire for a 6 cylinder and both for a 4 banger and leave them alone for a v8 speco meter i think there is just a switch at the back of the tacho for how many cylinders it has

the 70 still shits on that very nice clean 120Y i like it but still the rolla is the one FTW

i had the same problem in my celica it was running fine then i pulled into a servo and it stalled and then wouldnt start (i have electric dizzy in it) but i put a points dizzy into it and then it ran then stalled again but i found out it wasnt the coil or points it was a wire that was soldered together had a bad connection so i soldered it back together and then i started it and it ran fine and never missed a beat again!!! short story long check the wires from dizzy to coil then power to coil!!!

check leads dizy cap rotor button plugs and then coil ballst resistor (if applicable)

will the straight six fit into the car without bashing the firewall and as stated above^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ the car would be very very front heavy so it would be like trying to turn a bus/truck around with alot of weight on!!! would be easy to use it as a drag car or something

you could just about kick that back out in the door aye and it shouldnt leave much of a mark aye cause i had that happen to me on my celica somebody kicked my doors in and they popped back out :jamie:

also people use ae71 front gaurds and cut them a little bit above the flared part of the gaurd and then just weld it above the old rear flared part

might be the lead man i have found the lead ends decide to break off and seperate a little bit when there being pulled off alot!!! maybe the dizzy cap if not that then the rotor button

well if you have pulled the ke70 diff out of the car have a look at the shocky mount man, that maybe 5-8mm wide holder has to support the weight of the whole of the car and deal with all the bumps and crap from everday driving, it may work for a little while till the shocky support bar thing gives in and snaps clean off the diff!!! :y: that is why you cannot just bolt it straight up and drive on it and also the spring rates if there stiffer than stock then that will put more pressure on that bar aswell :y: your 86 front struts will bolt straight in but will have a few dramas there has been afew guys on here that have got coilovers in there car front and rear but you will have to ask them what they did to add more support to the rear Oh and BTW welcome to rollaclub bud :hammer:

that is the plan with the celica motor to throw it in and get the car running illegal will be dealt with via a mod plate and abit of cash partedfrom me to the man with the power to say yes or no this is a project were i can't make my mind up with anythin because it is always changing but this idea is here to stay

meh well spermside shopping centre then maybe start on the northside somewhere so north brissy boys and gurls can come out then meet half way like milton maccas then end up at like munchies or something??? any thoughts/opinions?
