  1. I never thought of that to be honest. Although, Toyota Lexcen is really a Holden Commodore and they both use a Buick 3800 V6. Other than that, you may get away with that idea. :)
  2. That sucks to hear Chris. Maybe he was just Jealous because he has to Drive a Slow and Gay Cop Car everyday, and you drive an AWESOME Corolla Wags. :) But yeah, Check all your Lights, the Oil, and Other Fidley Bits that they love to pick-up on. Josh :laff:
  3. Very nice Ke30 mate :abuse: All you need to do now is Fit an Aftermarket Air Filter and Clean up the Engine Bay. Cheers, Josh :P
  4. Nice. Lovin' your Ke55 mate. :abuse: I like the plans you have for this, especially the "crrruuuiissee" part. :D Josh :P
  5. Finally found yourself a Rolla. Pretty Good Swap for an AU Falcon. It's a Nice Ke55. I love the MA61s and the White Paint. Josh :abuse:
  6. Yep.. Agreed.. Dad and I got a Ke30 Metallic Goldy/Grey Bonnet from Pinch-a-part for $35 with only 1 tiny dent in it. Might have to tell my ol' man about the "Older Andy" and how the young Andy comes up with ridiculous prices. Thanks Guys.. Josh :abuse:
  7. Maybe they went belly-up...
  8. There's a joint that goes by the name of Andy's Auto Wreckers on Camp Rd in Campbellfield. It was suggested to us by "The overrated Ke70" after spotting a Ke38 for us. We went there today to bring home the Tailgate from this Ke38, but didn't. What'd happen was, the Tailgate had Damage next the the Right-Hand Latch that may not be repairable. We went up to the Owner of the Wreckers and asked how much he wanted for it. He said to us (a certain price) for it. We showed him the Damage and still stuck with his asking price. He then asked, "How much will you pay for it?". We offered him a lower price. He scoffed at us, and then walked off. Our advice, if you're planning on going there and getting something from there, Bring a Big Wallet with ya, and expect to pay Big Cash for Crap. Josh :blinks:
  9. Well... During the week, we were given the Heads-Up by "The overrated Ke70" that there was a Ke38 Panelvan complete in Andy's Autos Wreckers on Camp Rd, just off the Hume HWY. So today, we made time to go have a look at it to see the Condition of the Tailgate from this Ke38 with my Grandfather (Rufus). We got there at 1.30pm and looked around for 5 minutes to find this Ke38. We found it and looked at the Tailgate and saw a Dent near the Right Boot Latch. Dad said that it can be fixable by whacking it back in to place. So we went to the Man who runs the Wreckers and asked him how much he wanted for it, and he said $150. We explained the Damage to him and ended up showing him the Damage. He took a look at it and said, "Yep, I'll stay with $150". We offered him $80 and he scoffed at the offer and walked away. The Ke38 also had 14" Corona Steelies and the Guy said $30 a wheel with the Tyres having 40% Tread on them. We walked out with nothing. We then went to Pick-a-Part down the road to take a look what was in there. Poppa needed a Wheel Stud for his Ke10 because it snapped, and with luck, we saw a Ke20 in there. While Dad and Poppa were taking off this Wheel Stud, I looked around for Corolla Wagons and Panelvans. There were Corona Wagons here and there, and 1 Ae71 Wagon, but no Ke36/38's. We're still in search of a Ke36/38 Tailgate, still. Help is much appreciated. We've also put up the Ke35 Hubcaps up for sale to fund for the Paint and other things. Josh :blinks:
  10. Nice Panelvan mate. I like the 4agze idea. Would make a wicked little Panelvan to drive in. :blinks: Keep us updated. Josh :blinks:
  11. Just a little update... We got ourselves an Engine Crane today. Dad brought it home from Supercheap Auto straight after work. He backed into the garage, pulled it out straight away, and we then started assembling it. It took 30 mins to assemble because of the dodgy bolts and washers that was provided, but we eventually finished it. We've also been Wrecking Commodores (VP and VR) to help fund for the Paint. We've completely stripped the VR and now stripping a VP. We're now tossing up between 2 new colour ideas, again. It is either the VE Poison Ivy Green, or the VE Voodoo Blue. Not much has been done to Ollie, except for turning it over every Fortnight, and using it as storage for leftover VR Parts, such as Roof Lining and all the Plastics in an Australian Post Tub. We are still in Search of a Ke36/38 Tailgate in a Fairly Decent Condition, and a Good Paint Shop somewhere in Melbourne. Woz & Josh
  12. The restrictions are: For Toyota's, you can only drop in any Toyota Motor, as long as it's 4 Cylinder and fitted properly, but may require Brake Upgrade and more, depending on Power. You can chuck in like a SR20(det) and may get away with engineering it, but a V6 requires a crap load more to engineer, as well as a V8. If you cut the Fire Wall, or Radiator Support Panel, just to fit a better engine, Good luck getting it engineered. As for Wpn36, there is no engineer that will allow any motor from another car into any car. If so, he/she must be a dodgy engineer. Josh :D
  13. You could probably go for the EFI setup and then at the end of the pipe work, stick on a Turbocharger and then chuck on a Performance Pod-Filter. Have you got this Ke35 Rego'ed yet or are you still fixing it up before you do so? Josh
  14. This picture has got TOUGH written all over it. Looks good Matt. Keep it up. Josh
  15. Just an Update... Instead of taking off the rest of the parts from Ollie, Primer-ing and Spraying her, We Stripped Stupid our VR Commodore that we're wrecking (now wrecked) and got 98% of the parts off and ready for sale on eBay. For the Money that we get from Selling these Parts and Things, it will be used to buy the Coded Paint and Gun ready for Painting. We are still in Search of a Ke36/38 Tailgate in a Fairly Decent Condition, and a Good Paint Shop somewhere in Melbourne. Woz & Josh
  16. There would be no way to shove a Turbo and Intercooler kit in that bay, unless you're very, very keen. If anything, an Intake Pipe across the Motor to the Right Side of the Pic, and down into the space where there actually is space. Now after seeing this, I'll never attempt to fit an RB30, or even worse, an RB26DE(TT) in my little Ollie. The Nissan Silvia 4-Bangers are a decent upgrade from Nissan, but a Skyline 6-Pot just kills the idea of upgrading. If anything, the Ford 302 WINDSOR Small Block apparently Bolts straight in to the Ke30 to Ke70 Corolla's, without cutting the Firewall or the Iron Bar where the Radiator sits. All you need to do is just cut the Tunnel 80mm for the C4 Auto. Josh :P
  17. That's right. It's a Free For All Thread of Explaining or Showing us (Rollaclub Members) the rides around the house, or in 7Shade's Case, on the House.
  18. Don't sell the 38. Get rid of the "Other Car" and give some TLC this Corolla deserves. From what I can see of this 38, start the asking price at $1,000. Josh :P
  19. Not much of an Update really. Ollie has been sitting up the sideway with a Car Cover over it. We are now in search for a Really Good to overrated Condition Ke36/Ke38 Tailgate. Woz & Josh
  20. For $100? - Dude, Nice find :) I bet you're wrapt!! Any plans other than camping and cutting out Rust? Cheers, Josh :)
  21. Nice KE35 Aaron :) . Enjoy the Project. Keep updating as you go on. Woz & Josh :)
  22. Thanks Ryan. It really does make a huge difference. But all in all, I'm rapt with the way things turned out. Josh |blink|
  23. Thanks for your comments guys. __________________________ UPDATE TIME !!!!! Over this weekend (Including Friday Arvo), Dad and I started another "Dash Conversion" involving something that wasn't really easy, taking out THE ENTIRE DASH. The reason was simply because 3 months ago, We said on the same post as "Dash Conversion #1" (Page 9), that we were going to Paint the part of the Dash that was that Brown-ish Colour, Black. Well this Conversion wasn't as simple as Masking Up the Steering Column and the Dash Fascia. We had to take off the Dash Top, the Dash Fascia, Drop the Steering Column, and Take out the Centre Console, just to get the Bottom Part of the Dash off. We also scored some Seat Covers from a Friend today, which Josh is rapt about. Here are some pictures of the Dash when we first got Ollie, after Dash Conversion #1, and Now. Enjoy, Woz & Josh |blink|
  24. Update Time !!!!! Over these last 2 days (including today), we have found some spare time (Dad being busy with work) and have been doing some Panel Repairing, Sanding and Undercoating. We have also been Prepping for a little something we have been waiting to do for 9 Months now. :D Without further ado, here are the Pic's: We have figured out that 10 Months and 2 Days ago, Ollie for the 1st time, sat in our Driveway. I look back at the 1st Post of this Thread and the Photo's that we have in our Photo Gallery, and see how far we've come. Cheers Guys, Woz & Josh :)
  25. Ha Ha you will soon. Take good care of "The Bitch" Aaron. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=38581 Woz.
