I'm using a stock 4k cam in my 5k. As long as I shift when the cam peaks it thunders up to 75mph. Winding out sounds cool but doesn't do much in the way of gains.
Problems come to mind when running big lift in a high rpm engine. A lot of distance to travel in a short time at 7200rpm. That valve would be opening 60 times a second. Excess inertia wold destroy that top end. Making it not overly reliable.
Duration is what you want...
Basically, the distributor has a function known as vacuum advance. It's used to advance the timing of the engine between low to mid range load increasing low speed drive ability.
It uses ported vacuum sourced from just above the throttle butterfly. The effect of the vac advance diminishes as engine speed increases as the low pressure zone in the carb moves from the throttle plate to the main venturi.
This is where the mechanical advance of the distributor takes over.
Been researching vacuum advance, manifold and ported vacuum, timing, intake and exhaust intertia and momentum. A few changes in timing, jetting, and vacuum have been made.
Compresion test today. 190 psi on all cylinders...
If the extractors are the 4-1 type then yes they will fit.
The tunnel may need to be cut back a bit where the selector comes through depending if the gearbox i from a ke55 or a ke70.

They have a new Race Series line out for more modern engines, otherwise their products are branded 'MonoTorque' for the Australian market. Still, I'm not sure if there doing pistons other than the race series.
