The fan was a gift from the inlaws. And it moves a shite load of air. I paid for the wiring, relay, mounting strap things and the coolant. You can get decent ones off egay pretty cheap.

Yeah, you shouldn't have a problem with the big port head and original rocker gear. -
5K Head On 3K?? Trouble... Pics..

The capacity of a single 3k cylinder estimated at 291cc & the combustion chamber of a dished piston 5k head at 16cc. That would give an estimated compression ratio of 18:1. Even with that combo your going to have pushrod issues. -

Dished piston head. Small combustion chambers needs dished pistons. You can keep the 3k and put 4k dished pistons in it. Pushrods length would be your next challenge. Could be easier to cut your losses and start again with a 4k. -

I noticed that corona rt132 and corolla ke55 228.6mm rear brake drums are the same size and have the same part number. Would the corona diff centre fit in thee 55 housing?

Extractors and a 2 inch exaust maybe even a 2 1/4 will be a massive improvement. If you've little experience in engine work, a cam change will be a bit of a challenge. I've tried to change a cam with the engine in the car without success. The sump really needs to come off and by the time you get the cam out the only thing left in/on the block is the crank and pistons and water pump. It can be done but it takes experience. If your keen to learn, your in a position to be without the car for a week or more, have access to tools and an engine crane then go for it.

Mains wont affect idle unless the idle is too high. Havee you set the float level correctly? Are there any vacuum leaks?

A rock clipped my mirror. It took me over a year to track down that mirror. Is it possible to have the glass replaced?

your set up looks very familiar to me. I'm running a 5k though. 140/145 mains 165/160 airs 50/50 idle Try running 135/140 main 160/175 airs Mixture screw 2 turns out, idle speed screw 1 & 1/2 turns out. Timing at 10° btdc.
