  1. very nice! i wish mine was red.
  2. just get a ke70 :y:
  3. dude ive been staring at your car for weeks since it was on sale drooling. Never thought i'd wanna get rid of my e7 for anything but...pity you in Nsw.
  4. yeah your originals might be longer than a ke70 tho? ps your car is mad!
  5. i mean someone like them, shop around. Google is your friend. Yellow pages, white pages. Elbow grease.
  6. wouldnt you need to shorten your original stud bolts to bolt them on? The bolt on ones? And use a shorter wheel nut? And is 5-8 safe? Ive got a stock 4k and not planning on much. Those bolt on ones confuse me and can't seem to find any literature on them.
  7. i might just take it to a mechanic.
  8. yeah thats what i figured. was just checking. no info on spacers tho?
  9. ok guys. thats enough. i think i have about 4 weekends of checking stuff! So much for my quick fix. thanks all. how about i just drop a 4age in it while I'm at it? ha ha.
  10. Ok A: Are they legal? B: Ive seen two types, the ones like large washers, and bolt on. I guess the washer ones you would need longer stud bolts, up to a certain width? And the bolt ons do the same thing but without the need of new stud bolts? Just some clarification please :y: C: For both what is a safe width? Are they safe at all? I know a lot of people here use them. I'm trying to fit my 17's and they basicly have no dish to them and there aint much room to begin with on a ke70 front strut. Is there an easy way to measure off set? Could i just put small washers on untill they fit, and measure the total width of the washers? Or would suspension travel be a factor? And yeah i will roll the guards. Which brings me to another question. Is everyone just lipping the guards or pushing the verticle flat bit out some more? I added a diagram if it helps, its pretty shit but i think you will get what i mean. I don't wanna start beating my guards out if i can just lip them. I understand its probably gonna depend on the wheels I'm trying to fit, lowering etc. I just want to get some advive as i have a pretty overrated ke70 and really don't want to have to reverse whatever i do to it. Bear with me! Cheers guys, merry xmas and all that malarkey!
  11. http://starfinishing.com.au/main/page_auto..._polishing.html try someone like this. prob be cheaper
  12. sounds like i might just have to strip down the carb, and check my ignition system.
  13. keen as and i turn 30 on the 30th. Plus only live in Beerwah which aint far away. Looks like ill be working nights on the beast to get it on the road by then! :y:
  14. thats the thing, you might waste a can trying to get it right. Sounds a bit tech. Then again could be insane easy, wonder how hard it'd be to get in gaps. I'm guessing dusting it is letting it kinda fall on what you are covering, so ya couldn't spray it into tight space's.
  15. that is good looking stuff tho. wonder how much a can would cover.
  16. when i bought it i thrashed it from ipswich to sunny coast and it did it the whole way. I just hope it wont be one of those annoying gremlins....
  17. holy crap are you serious 75 a can? i suppose I'm painting my jellies black then. Get some plastic spinner hub caps, everyone will think your cool :y:
  18. i found two hoses off the carb blocked off with screws, could this be the prob? they are on the passenger side of the carb
  19. dude thats not a bad shop compared to mine!!!
  20. the thing is to clean them you can pop them off and scrub them down in a bucket or similar, at waist level and from the back too. if they were rims would be difficult as. And I agree they are pimp, but a good kind of pimp, make sure you but a purple top hat too :y:.
  21. sorry, duh, full metal chrome..... I'm an idiot ha ha
  22. those are some of the best looking hub caps i have ever seen. What are they made of?
  23. remove the engine hat, clean where it contacts the top of the engine, remove any bits of old gasket if its rank. You want two smooth surfaces, get a new gasket, bit of gasket goo, and tighten it down. Torque doesnt matter as it just a "hat". Just make sure its tight and you are good to go. Personally i'd put my money elsewhere as this wont affect performance. Just take ya old one off do the gasket and put a coat of heat resistant paint on it if ya wanna be fancy.
  24. wow this thread got out of control. how about some advice? I know its hard...
  25. I think you just nailed it there Ken!!!!
