Guys mine is soooo close to rolling i can taste it. Now the accelerator pump problem is fixed all i gotta do is this F*****G door hinge which is a bitch by yourself. And maybe the wheel well rust. And noone will notice my tacky spray can matt black at night :D

Got some parts off Ella today. Got a 3k carb and raped the accelerator plunger out of it and stuck it in the 4k. Runs overrated now. Ran out of time to put the door hinge in but got the window washer thingie going. Try to sort the hinge this week, rwc on friday. Please rolla gods not too much to fix.

I don't know why I'm posting that I'm getting new bits soon at 3:18am in the morning but I'm quite excited that i may have my car almost rwc ready. And the missus told me to go ahead with whatever i need to do to get it rwc. Soon as it is, she gets a new car. Quick if your from bris and got some nice 15"s let me know, because they are necessary for rwc....or so ill tell her.... I'm still looking for an accelerator pump or a whole new carbie for a 4kc. And if possible somone who can do a quick and nasty weld job on the sunny coast.

anything will fit anything depending on how much effort ya wanna put in. Ya gotta weigh up the time you spend pissing around trying to get things to fit that arnt meant to against just buying the real deal.

I had an issue with those thai taillights. My brake light flashed when i put indicator on. So I replaced the still good wiring from my old one into it, works fine now. don't seem to seal very well, maybe a bit of silicone.

my 4k has done 650,000ks and still going strong.

Yeah i was of the same opinion. I was just toying with the idea, or maybe painting the rims black and leave a metal outer rim. But really i may as well get rims in that style, with a nice offset to fill the guards. Ive learnt from so many cars not to rush things as they end up looking shit. And yeah you can't beat matt black with nice shiney chrome as the accent. My kingdom for chrome bumpers....and a RWC. EDIT: p.s. i love these rims, like you said, not low enough, but i want 15's. All in good time. And these will probably come up good with a polish for the time being. If your exhaust is sealed properly there shouldnt be a problem should there? Id find the leak and address that. If its entering the cabin from the tip, id drive faster. :jamie:. Maybe your trunk seal? Gear stick boot? Get someone to light some inscense while your in your car windows up in ya garage and sniff around for the leak.

Its not powdery, i painted it matt black, i don't want it shiney. Lowered when i can afford to do it properly, and new rims when i can afford them. I'm paying a mortgage I'm not made of money living at my parents with no bills. :jamie:

I've still gotta source a few parts, then ill book it in for rwc. Prob wont be able to afford rego for a few weeks. And the accelerator pump really need attention i have crap acceleration. My next door neighbour has some ae86 front struts for me too.

just traced out the old one and cut new one out of 3mm MDF. I have non retractable seatbelts so there arn't any guides, belts bolt to the pillars. Made with the same technique as the door cards. Took about 20 minutes. Cost about 5 dollars in materials.

what do you guys think about these rims painted gloss white with black centers? Would pop out againts the matt black. My missus suggested it, have been staring at pics of it trying to imagine it. Or red.
