  1. shove bunched up newspaper in the hole, cover with builders bog, don't sand or paint. Thats how we do it in the ghetto...
  2. thats not a bad price, good to know.
  3. Started on reassembly and putting the carpet in. What a mission. No holes were cut out of the carpet so thats a bit of a hassle. But got the drivers side nailed and just need to move the car to the other side of the garage again to finish the passenger side. Door cards on and doors back together Center console in. Seat in. Photo purely to show i put a RC sticker on. Getting close to taking for rwc.
  4. I don't think ive ever had to use a puller, worst case maybe spraying a bit of wd40. They usually wiggle off pretty easy. Took me a we while to find the nut behind the logo in my e7 too.
  5. where are these 120 buck kingies? i take it its just for a pair of falcons?
  6. nice, i only have one sausage finger
  7. Door cards and parcel shelf done, finally, 1000 staples later. Tried to pop the front pillar trim off and it shattered into about 10 bits, bastard!
  8. Think mine has the same issue. Hope its an easy fix.
  9. and the 5 speed after a can of degreaser. Was gonna do so much more today but i needed to move the rolla to the other side of the garage which meant moving everything out, which ended in me cleaning it yet again. I have tons more room now so the drivers side doors should be a breeze to do.
  10. HOW I MADE MY DOOR CARDS You'll need : (ive added what i paid too) a sheet of 3mm MDF ($7.20) the material you want to cover them with (for me black vinyl 3m $44.85 from spotlight) 6mm staples and staple gun (about 20 bucks) On a budget like me, some old towels, if not some 5mm foam is about 15 bucks a meter. Handles, mine are chrome kitchen door handles cost $2.90 each. A jig saw, a drill with an 8mm and 10mm drill bit, a stanley knife (these will cost what they cost) Step one, remove the old door cards and take the plastic trim off the wood, but be careful not to crack the wood this is your template. Lay the door wood on the sheet of MDF and trace the outline and also the winder hole and the holes for the plastic clips. You will need to line the plastic trim back up on the wood to trace the hole for the door handle. As i am making mine not too hook over the top of the door you'll need to make an extra hole for a clip on the top. Just measure between the hole on the door and transfer to the MDF. I only done one extra hole as the winder holds on the other end but if you wanna do them all up to you. Then cut it all out with the jigsaw. I stuck the template back on to drill out the clip holes just to be spot on. Drill through the side you are covering. Then you have to drill larger holes next to them (i did 10mm but 14,, would be wayyyyyy better, all i had tho). Then join the two holes with the jigsaw, about a 6mm gap. Round off all the edges with some sandpaper. Fit all your clips now, if you are missing some repco sells them for about $3 for a box of 8. Take one down, there are heaps of different ones. Lay your padding, in my case i used an old towel( don't laugh), staple it about 5-10mm from the edge, and around the handle and winder hole, and a few over it in the middle so it doesn't sag. Get scissors or a stanley knife and trim excess. Get a hammer and make sure all the staples are flush, add more if needed. Make sure you do this step or it will look terrible. Lay it facedown on your covering and cut out the covering, i allowed for about 30-40mm excess all around. Start stapling it on the flat edge, then move to the opposite side and get it tight. Keep checking the other side to make sure theres no loose spots. The round corners are "really fun" to do aswell, just cut it where it bunches up. You'll have to trim around the clips too. Voila. Cut an x in the door and winder holes and staple them back, the winder hole is a C**t to do. Add whatever handles you want and your done. As you can see there was a loose spot so i just popped it off, popped the staples with a bread knife and retightened it. I'm going to put a handle on the back door once i find some shorter bolts for the handle. The top of the doors i just stuck vinyl on with contact adhesive .This photo doesnt really do them justice, and I'm gonna pop the vinyl off the front one and smooth out those bumps at the top, its a learning curve as these are the first I've ever made. And thats about it.
  11. those wheels look freakin' awesome and that blurry pic looks kinda freakishly wicked. I don't think my jellies are gonna cut it anymore. VERY nice wag bro even if I'm not a slanty fan!
  12. one thing leads to another, mine was a quick rust repair for rwc and been off the road for 8 months.
  13. my first rolla was an 82 dx with quads back in nz. no bumpers, not legal, no interior trim. a big yellow smiley face sticker on the back and painted really badly with blue spray cans. we ended up chopping the springs, then took them out, then painted it black with poster paint, then tagged it with house paint, then painted the whole thing white apart from the bottom half of the front windscreen. Then took it for a drive.... *flashing red and blues and siren* defected & fines out the wazoo good times i'd kill for those quads now, swapped it for weed.
  14. I had a cordia non turb was pretty good. And used to fang my mates Starion, nuts in the wet.
  15. a mate of mine had one back in NZ he scored for a couple of hundred bucks about 13 years ago. Wrote it off a few weeks later, was pretty overrated body for 2 or 3 hundred. Think the engine was on the way out. Interior was shit. But bet it would be worth a bit now. You never realise these thing when ya 15 tho, like my first rolla ke70 dx with quads. I gave it away for weed.
  16. random pic of the 5 speed. I have no idea how to put it in but ive got a workshop manual and a pure heart ha ha ha. Shouldnt be too hard just gonna suck doing it myself. If it rains tomorrow ill get onto this with degreaser. I hope its not a dud, came free with the car.
  17. oh man 40 pages of reading and i get to this!!!! Wah Waah Waaahhh. Ha ha sucks when you strip then look at all the bits and go holy shit, maybe i should of done one bit at a time! Good luck for the future bro, don't get disheartened. EDIT: its guys with your motivation that keep me going on mine even when I just can't be bothered. These threads are a wealth of information and ideas.
  18. was gonna get up today and finish my door cards but was pissing down and my carport where I'm making them isnt that water tight. Went for a repco mission. Tried to find some 10mm M4 bolts. Painted all my plastic trim. That was about it. Hopefully door cards will be finished tomorrow. Then thats the majority of the interior done. BTW I didnt use shit spray cans on the interior plastic, proper plastic trim primer and paint and spent ages washing them down and prepping. 28 years of crud, you should of seen the inside of the steering column cover, my god! Feels good cleaning everything down, might have a new car smell afterwards. PISS OFF RAIN... one week of holidays left, want this interior nailed.
  19. i found these on ebay. All depends if ya want the chrome trim theme like ya handles etc, and they are pretty cheap too. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=370313564742
  20. Dude it was ebay, if i saw this in a shop you think i would have bought them? Maybe for camp value. Grip tape sounds like the way to go.
  21. some engrish damn it can't really see it, it reads: SPECIALITY *human engineering based design enables everyone to use it easily. *when drivins, it couls relieve the fatisue of feet to drivin safely. *refines design ans stainless steel secoration omt he surfaace upgrade the inside atmosfere of the car. THE WAY OF USE *vnscrew the bolt. But be careful for the nuts rearside not to be missed. *Assemble the pedal pads with the genuine pedals in adequate position *Turn all the brackets inwards ans screw up the bolts in diagonal order to tighten up. *Step on the pedal pads to make sure theres noloose assembled parts NOTE *Assemble the peedle pads after turning off the engine and pulling up the handbrake of the car *screw up all the bolts evenly and firmly *during using check up if the bolts of pedal pads screwes firmly Surprise that the pedals were shit too, priceless.

  23. nice hammer bro! Did Fred Flinstone drop by? ha ha :)
  24. tho the official count is under 9000 but i saw a thread and the dudes member # was 10030.
  25. I bought a Skoda back in nz for 40 bucks. Think it was a 73, had the engine in the back. 0-100 in 3 weeks. Hills? don't bother. It was like driving a forklift the oversteer was so bad. Ended up chopping the roof off and hand painting purple flames down it. More rust than car but was a bit of fun for a couple of weeks.
