Raven Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Haha, you got whipped by a 5 cylinder :P Quote
SoulSearcher Posted March 6, 2007 Author Report Posted March 6, 2007 well, it's got one more cylinder than mine, 1 more gear than mine, AND 0.7lt's on my car (plus I scared myself when I looked at the speedo), I'm not ashamed :P plus it's 166kws at the wheels!!! Quote
ancullen Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Err... it's 166kW at the engine, not at the wheels. Still, that whoops the Corolla Sportivo Turbo's 115kW (standard) at the engine. Quote
Jono Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 184kw Audi A3 3.2 Quattro please. ("only" $65K) Quote
Trev Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 They run the same engine as the volvo (T5) do. Quote
Raven Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 (edited) It also has 320nm of torque which is available from 1600rpm all the way up to 4000rpm. No wonder a can of whoop-ass was opened up on you Lesley :P Edited March 6, 2007 by Raven Quote
LINDSAY Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Oh yeah , i was seriously thinking about gettin one but i'm in enough debt allready :P Quote
SoulSearcher Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 There's no way I can afford one now... but perhaps (in 4 years) when I insist on hubby getting a "real" family car, ie the supercharged TRD Aurion to carry the midget kids around in, I can say, since you're getting a new car, "the rolla's been great, but I think it's time I get that little Ford Focus :P Lesley :hmm: Quote
st.nick Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 New Focus= Torque steer and tyre wear city!! I know its a Ford "f@$k-arse", but its damn wicked!! I'm glad to see that car companies are still willing to make small cars with too much power!! Tho I'd still prefer an S3 Quattro!! :P Quote

Tho I'd still prefer an S3 Quattro!! :P Apparently they don't torque steer due to traction control or unless you nail the throttle out of a slow corner then you'll feel it a little bit. The thing that cracks me up is it uses 11.8L/100km lol. And its a small car? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I love the wheels. There is a corolla painted in that orange colour on this site too, and he put pics of the focus up Quote
SoulSearcher Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 I did some phoning around...insurance is about $60 less per year than my car ($559) for rego, it's classed as a 6 cyl, so rego is I think about $660 a year....I'm going to have a sneak peek at one today or tomorrow.... :P Quote
