There is an autocross on the 22/08 at the IWMAC course. Who's up for it? I have just been informed I shall be getting the Hornet back in time. Yay!! First run with the suspension setup properly.

had a look on the cams website.

would you need the following?:

Compulsory vehicle and safety requirements include:

+ A secondary bonnet restraining device

+ A fire extinguisher

+ A blue triangle indicating the position of the battery

+ Headlights covered with a transparent adhesive film (i.e. Contact)

Hmm, my fire extinguishers are new, but not tagged, I wonder if this will be a problem. Should look up sup regs or something...

Doug: Yes on all I think. Secondary bonnet restraining device, use a belt or rope or something. Blue triangle I think they sell on the day for very little money, just a temporary one. Headlights I think they sell contact on the day too.

Its in the Supp regs that you need the extinguisher tagged. It's now in the CAMS manual, too. I've never had to contact lights at the autocross.

Which reminds me, I need a new blue triangle... Nick, can you supply?

I don't think they demand a blue triangle if your battery hasn't been moved, could be wrong, though...

Then it's all systems go... :D

Rob: CAMS manual only mentions 3-yearly and 6-yearly inspections and servicing, nothing about tagging? Also it says road-going cars are exempt, although I do remember the last sup regs saying that all cars must have fire extinguishers.

Does anyone have the sup regs for this? I can't find it on their website...

*edit* Just looking at the previous sup regs now - nothing in addition to the CAMS manual, nothing about tagging?
